Discussion: Ferguson Cop Who Shot Unarmed Teen: 'I Can't Go Out'

Discussion for article #226625

One thing is obvious: Wilson isn’t lawyered-up yet. No way would a competent attorney allow him to text something that could be subpoenaed.

Mike Brown can’t go out either.

Wilson can go out, he’s just afraid to.

BTW, another cop just shot someone allegedly brandishing a knife in Ferguson.

Edit: It may have happened somewhere else in St. Louis, it’s not clear.

“Shepard said he shared the messages with the Daily Mail because he “felt that there were two sides to this story and that he wanted to re-balance the coverage” of 18-year-old Michael Brown’s death.”

I know when i want to balance coverage, the first people i call are the Daily Mail! LMAO!!!

Perhaps Shepard wants a steady job while aspiring to be a paperback writer.

No one of right mind wants vigilante justice against this officer. They just want him to be charged already so that justice can take its normal expected course from there. He has police protection, something even the police haven’t admitted I believe. All they’ve admitted is that he’s left town…and that’s weak sauce. Where is the justice?

It is so sad so many are more focused on revenge of the cops vs the death of a young man.

Officer Wilson was only doing his job, and IS innocent of murder! Michael Brown should not have tried to take the gun of a police officer, should not have robbed the convenience store which led to this confrontation. Choices have consequences

He has done NOTHING to be charged for, wanting such is only racial revenge.

You have been reading the comments on TPM over the last few days, right?

We don’t know if he tried to take the gun, and even if he did that does not excuse the officer from any of the shots after the one at the car.

The shop lifting of 30 dollars worth of cigars did not led to this confrontation, it just happened prior to it.

The choice he did that led to his death was walking on the street rather then the sidewalk, that and he might be alive if he didn’t stop running away from the police officer.

This isn’t about getting revenge, this is about justice. Take the officer to court let the justice system decide if he is guilt of murder or not.

Whether he is “innocent of murder” has not been adjudicated yet. Word of advice, newbie – you’d better be on your “A” game here. The posters on this site are not a group of slack-jawed, Fox viewing, right wing teabaggers.

No they’re not… they are intolerant of anyone that doesn’t follow their mentality lock-step. This isn’t a place for intelligent debate… unless you call insulting and name calling anyone with a different opinion ‘intelligent debate’.
