Power out in a hospital recently. Was it political noise that the mayor asked for help? Brownie was incompetent, but I dont recall that he was heartless.
This guy seems to have found his place.
Must have heard from the moron. Genuflect!
“We filtered out the mayor a long time ago. We don’t have time for the political noise,”
I hope he affords the same courtesy to DT, otherwise one might think the FEMA director was a sexist xenophobe.
Watch for aid to be diverted away from San Juan.
San Juan Mayor Cruz has been accurate on pretty much every issue pertaining both to the extent of the hurricane’s damage and the Administration’s slow, inadequate response. A week after the hurricane, when the feckless FEMA response was not evident even in San Juan, where the principal sea port is located, she pointed out the urgent need to use helicopters to distribute aide outside of San Juan on this 100 miles X 35 mile island. That has since proven accurate and is exactly what the DoD and FEMA are now doing. Accountability and scrutiny are, however, unwelcome political noise and fake news to the least competent administration in US history.
Hmm. But taking down data from the FEMA website that indicates conditions on the ground per access to water, electricity, etc. - and instead only reflect things like the number of fed. workers on the ground and the number of bottles of water handed out - that isn’t political or political “noise” meant to drown out the concerns raised by Mayor Cruz?
Was she wearing an official FEMA t-shirt when she did all those things? Otherwise it doesn’t count. Well, that and she’s female…
Brock Long has become a joke. Half the people of PR don’t have water and 90% have no electricity. Areas where service has been restored go through power outages frequently. In a normal world, Long would be facing pointed and angry questions for such a poor performance.
“The bottom line is, we are making progress every day in conjunction with the governor.” In other words- we will only talk to Republicans who tell us how great we are.
And while he leads the ad hominem attack on Mayor Cruz, the reality on the ground continues to manifest how badly FEMA has dropped the ball on this humanitarian crisis. There is an outbreak of Leptospirosis with two confirmed deaths in Canovanas. But let’s go around the table and have everyone point out how wonderful a job Donald Trump and FEMA have done…a miraculous job actually…believe me…
Young man’s in over his head. I guess he’s afraid of being “Brownied”
ETA-He’s a natural scapegoat if Trump gets tired of the backlash.
Has he been to PR yet?
And the US Media really needs to start doing their job on this. The Washington Post has a very good reporter on the ground in Puerto Rico who files daily reports quoting identified real Puerto Ricans all over the island. These Sunday and nightly talk shows need to fan out and talk to Puerto Rican journalists and opinion makers. See how many they can find who think the Administration’s response has been anywhere near adequate. See how many people in Puerto Rico thought Donald Trump’s performance and comments during the entirety of his brief trip to Puerto Rico, crowned by his visit to a church inside an affluent suburban gated community that suffered very little damage was anything but bizarre and ridiculous. Stop letting Mayor Cruz be the sole spokesperson and whipping person for what is the pretty unanimous viewpoint on the Island.
There’s an opening in the Nazgul organization and he’s padding his resumé.
Even after all this, I still had to check if that was real . Fuckity fuck fuck.
Remember, he wanted to throw the most delicious canned chicken you’ve ever tasted, too, but those Boricuas cucked out. Sad!
He’s the mogul moron’s millimicro minion!
