SCOTUS ruled that there is no racism in this country and subsequent death of VRA. Direction of laws can only go one way after that, especially with SCOTUS setup.

Yet, even in McCaul’s Austin precincts, Hillary won all but 2. - And in those 2, Trump only won because of 3rd party voters going for Johnson.

Looks like McCaul only wins in Westlake Hills and Rollingwood because they are voting for their neighbor.

Judge Smith wrote the majority opinion in the Hopwood anti-affirmative action case. He has ruled that the EPA MUST show a cost/benefit analysis before banning toxic substances. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerry_Edwin_Smith.
In short, he is a right-wing judge appointed by the Gipper. One of his notable clerks is Senator Cotton of AK. I am surprised he didn’t call the majority opinion a “high-tech lynching,” as he accuses the Feds of stereotyping Texas Republicans. (Hint: In this case, the Feds are correct.) If this case goes to the full Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, I am sure that Smith will be writing a majority opinion striking down the ruling of the other two judges on his panel, That’s how the Fifth rolls

You know why I’m particularly glad about that? The first Democratic politician I ever supported and worked for was a woman running for governor - Sissy Farenthold. She is one of those great Texas women.

It killed me that that fat fuck has the same name. I don’t know if they are related. I’d rather find out that this Farenthold is related to Sissy.
