Discussion: FCC Shuts Down Alex Jones' Pirate Flagship Radio Station

I guess he’ll need to move to Tijuana and blast southern California with a phased array radio broadcast. I wonder how well he’ll do in Mexico?

Washington (CNN)Donald Trump is heaping praise on a radio host who has asserted that the U.S. government was involved in the Oklahoma City bombing and the September 11 terrorist attacks.

"Your reputation is amazing. I will not let you down," Trump told Alex Jones during a Wednesday afternoon appearance on the Infowars.com proprietor’s show.

Jones shared the love, telling Trump that “my audience, 90% of them, they support you.”
Jones, who has advanced a number of conspiracy theories, gained prominence as a 9/11 “truther.”
He has previously asserted on his radio show that there is a "98% chance this was a government-orchestrated controlled bombing.

In October, he said on a show that “there is a cover-up,” and then highlighted Trump’s recent criticism of George W. Bush’s handling of 9/11.

Trump has disputed most officials’ characterizations of 9/11 too in recent days, arguing that thousands of Muslims in New Jersey celebrated the attacks. The real estate mogul and Republican presidential front-runner tweeted a link to an Infowars.com post supporting his claims.

I hope that Sandy Hook family and others he’s defamed/lied to take away so much of his revenue that he’s forced to live under a bridge like the troll he is! Maybe the Trump family can join him there and they can all eat each other alive.

Welp, we all know how this is going to go down. Federal raid met with armed resistance, a weeks-long stand-off ended by Republican “negotiators,” capped off by pardons for everyone by President Trump.

Who am I kidding? Trump will stop the raid before it happens and praise the “great and wonderful Liberty Radio” in his base rallies.

For a second I thought you were projecting the scene after Mueller presents Trump with a subpoena to testify before a grand jury.

Trump certainly is giving a voice to a lot of sick and disturbing individuals.

I’m actually more surprised that people still operate Pirate radio stations when the internet, which can let you broadcast to the entire world, exists.

If Trump implies it … it Must be true… suggests Rudie - who says that perhaps Trump is just more honest than everybody else.

Trump’s FCC shuts down a radio station that stopped broadcasting last December. 8 months ago.

Sick of all this winning yet?

Register people to vote. There is a Federal Voter Registration form you can download and use in all 50 states and US Territories- https://vote.gov/files/federal-voter-registration_1-25-16_english.pdf. Print out a bunch and keep them with you. Register people on the spot!

If you need to help people overcome the GOP-led voter-run-around campaign help them do that. This site, https://www.aauw.org/resource/organize-a-voter-registration-drive/, has a how-to on organizing a voter registration drive. Or even sitting outside Wal Mart with a folding chair and a card table. Yes, that’s the American Association of University Women.

And while we’re here organize a League of Women Voters chapter in your community if you don’t already have one. Fair, honest and above board. Democracy functions better with them involved.

Jesse Ventura moved to Mexico and does podcasts and such from his compound there. Maybe he has room for Alex?

I remember when I thought Jesse Ventura being elected governor of Minnesota was the craziest thing I had ever seen in American politics. Little did I realize it was a harbinger of the apocalypse.

Talking to some folks there, he didn’t do a half bad job. Did a one term governorship and then went back to private life.

Wow, with the President of the United States of America as his fawning fanboy, Alex Jones can’t be stopped.

More like “FCC Chairman Ajit Pai fired from FCC and his ham radio license rescinded by Trump. “This Democrat obviously hates America and was illegally trying to silence a fine and upstanding PATRIOT, Alex Jones.””
