We’re kinda due for one of those, huh?

Let’s see: he’s a Republican, adulterer, possible predator and blackmailer…only one thing left to do. Run for Senate!

I see the tag line already: Hey, at least I’m not Roy Moore.

So he became a Republican to get ahead. Toss him in the heap with Ivanka, Kushner, and Flynn (and Donnie, but he was never a Democrat).

@pshah Why do I get the feeling that if he ever came for McCaskill she’d have him lying in a heap inside five minutes?

Wait, this guy was a Rhodes Scholar (thanks Wikipedia) and he had an affair with the hairdresser?

Most appropriately his Navy-SEAL memoir is titled “The Heart and the Fist.” Which sounds unintentionally kinky in retrospect.

And his big legislative accomplishment is a right-to-work law in MO? Sounds like a Koch sucker to boot.

“. . . years before he was elected governor . . .”

“the man told him the incident occurred in early July, 2015.”

Eric Greitens announced his candidacy in [Sptember, 2015][1].

The campaign committee formed in February [2015] allowed Greitens to collect money before publicly declaring his intent.

So. Campaign Committee, February, 2015. Incident with bondage, July, 2015. Public Campaign, Sept 2015. It’s all ancient history,

So was Orval Faubus. Times change, and this is why blind unthinking partisanship carries risks. Do you think Thomas Dewey would even recognize the crowd that currently styles itself “Republican”?

A governor alleged of hitting his wife mistress isn’t newsworthy?

You know, you’re right. Domestic violence is serious. Even if there was no blackmail or abuse of power, she’s entitled to some kind of legal remedy, and if she wants to avail herself of that, more power to her.

That said, I think this is far less important than any of the other countless things going on just today.

Late Wednesday, Greitens admitted in a statement that he had conducted the affair but denied allegations that he blackmailed the woman into silence by taking a nude photo of her while her arms were bound by tape to exercise equipment in his basement.

So ***THAT'S*** what you do with old exercise equipment in the basement. And just think, I was going to sell it. Whew!

Can’t wait for the sequel: The Heart, the Fist, and the Smell of Barbicide

This is where I see the sketchy; ex-navy SEAL with a violent streak and a disturbingly intense need to be in control.

“This allegation is completely false,” the lawyer, Jim Bennett, said in an email. “It never happened."

Were you there? No? Then shut up.

"This was a consensual relationship that lasted multiple months and was years ago before Eric was elected Governor.”

The incident took place in July of 2015, and Greitens was elected Governor in November, 2016.

I understand their safe word was “MAGA”.

Greitens is Jewish, so Pence might have to douse himself in holy water and consult Mother before appearing with him.
