Discussion for article #222280
Gee whereâs Darcy. Oh wait??? He doesnât care about rigged Obamacare stories, he prefers to knock Obamacare
Iâm SHOCKED! Shocked that gambling is going on at this establishment!
There they goâŚTheyâre putting their rake on the groundâŚTheyâre backing upâŚNow theyâre walking forward againâŚ
THWACK!
Dicks being dicks. Pretty Bush league, if you ask me. I expect pro-level dickishness from this krew.
Just another marketing tactic for their base. The come up with a ânumberâ, say it points to something bad, then the GOP is off to the races with the same meme theyâve had since before the law was even passed.
It no longer matters whether right-wing talking points have any validity whatsoever. They are trumpeted loudly throughout the right-wing echo chamber and for those who get their news nowhere else, they therefore become reality (and even for many who do also get news elsewhere, because A) the mainstream media wonât call out the dishonesty for fear of appearing âbiased,â and B) any news outlets that do report the trickery will automatically be dismissed as âbiasedâ by conservatives).
This is how reality works on the right.
If I were a journalist â Iâd be incredibly insulted that they thought they could get this pass me.
Based on a survey I completed on April 1, a vast majority of American citizens donât pay their taxes.

The base doesnât care if information is accurate; thatâs why they watch Fox News. What they want is confirmation of their biases. If you presented this survey right alongside the evidence it was bogus, the RWNJs would simply ignore the evidence and howl with glee over the âproofâ of the bogus survey.
I donât understand why Democrats just donât flip the numbers on them. If you take the Republican survey numbers as true that means roughly 5.3M have already paid their premiums. And, if 40% of the the 8M enrollees didnât enroll until March 15th that means that only 4.8M enrollees had payments due by May 1st. So, the Democrats should be going around saying at least 10% of the enrollees are paying before they are due! We have a cash windfall!!!
You can see this in action simply by reading the comments on any news site (for example CBS: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/report-67-of-obamacare-enrollees-have-paid-so-far/#postComments)
Commentators are pointing out the fatal flaw in this reportâs methodology; right wingers are responding by simply engaging in ad hominem attacks on the posters, or insulting the President.
The White House should call a spade a spade here. Take this sham to task an issue a report redlining the necessary corrections to the GOP-TP (the paper not the party named for an herbal drink) so dependent on misinformation to present anything less than positive results.
Thatâs the funniest thing Iâve read in a while. Clearly, you donât understand the art of journalism. First, listen to what Karl Rove says, and then report it. Then, listen to what, oh, I donât know, what an Obama aide says, and report it. Be sure to use the following phrase: âOn the other handâŚâ
If you find yourself thinking, think âstop!â You are supposed to be objective, not someone who thinks. Thinking is for Mr. Rove and his opposite number. Your job is to transcribe, so just transcribe until the nausea overcomes you.
Boehner should get on the right page, Fox is on Benghazi this
week, Obamacare is next week John⌠get up to speed !!
Bundy and BLM is the second week of May John⌠GetTee
times the third week of May !! Issa will tell you the schedule
for the balance of the month !! The Koch will tell Canter the
schedule for June, get your Tee Times early for second week
of June.
So if roughly 60% of the people signed up actually had a premium due, but 67% of them had paid a premium, does this mean that 112% of the people who signed up will have paid a premium by the time itâs due?
They are pissing in the ocean.
Thatâs how math works!
Wait what? Republicans acting like disingenuous assholes to fool their increasingly stupid and hysterical base? Shocking!
One needs to keep in mind that the original deadlines have been extended time and time again, so the survey isnât flawed at all since it was administered on a timely manner. Still, we have no news from the Obama administration about the numbers of those who were previously insured vs completely new signups.
