Poor dear. Hope he’s feeling better, although I have my doubts.

He [Commonwealth’s Attorney Ray Morrogh] also said Torres “appeared to be in a deteriorating mental state” in the days and weeks before the shooting. Morrogh said he was occasionally sent home from work, and was consumed by thoughts that his wife had been cheating on him.

I hope his wife has taken the opportunity to depart this marriage. If not, now would be the time to exit right as he won’t be around to harass and intimidate her. No person should be living with someone “consumed” by thoughts of cheating. It’s just a recipe for violence.

The FFC Sheriffs office doesn’t have a much better reputation than their PD does…which is why he fainted

Oh! He shot a white guy. I didn’t realize that. I was wondering about how it was mere blatant guilt was enough to cause the cops to throw him under the bus.

Collapsed under the weight of his own stupidity and guilt.

When did PDs start hiring cowards as cops? He “might” have a gun in his waistband? He might have a teeny-tiny atomic bomb in his ear. Better call for a drone strike.

Locked knees. ROTC cadets would collapse all the time when standing in formation, because they locked their knees. So if you have to stand up for several minutes at a time, don’t lock your knees!

Also, try not to murder unarmed people.

“The sheriff’s office declined to comment on Torres’ condition, but there was no obvious sign of serious injury or health problems. A sheriff’s deputy was overheard telling Torres’ mother that he was alert several minutes after he fainted”

Damn. Could have saved the state some money.

Wrong orifice.

until a federal court and an inquiry from Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, prodded the county to relent

Holy shit. A Republican Senator did some actual responsible governing.

WTF?

“Torres told investigators he thought Geer might have a weapon hidden in his waist, and that he was concerned Geer might reach for a gun that he had previously set down at his feet.”

Not much point to putting your hands up, then.

ADAM TORRES HAS COLLAPSED!

oh Adam Torres we love you get up

I know a few cops, and have shared an apartment with them. There is a lot of self pity going on.

Torres’ prosecution marks the first time that a Fairfax County police officer
has faced criminal charges for an on-duty shooting.

Progress comes slowly.
But it is coming.

Maybe he started thinking about all the shit he’d done to his soon to be fellow roommates when they were under his gentle care.

This actually can be used as evidence by the prosecution, it indicates he can’t handle pressure and should not have been a cop.

First thing I thought of, too. I found myself getting woozy at a couple of long JROTC formations when I would forget and lock my knees. The guy next to me did a total faceplant into the tarmac once doing that.

Life’s a bitch … as will be Torres after he is convicted and sent to prison.

Oh, poor baby; he’ll recover… His victim? …Not so much…
