Maybe I should’ve call it an eargasm because I love it but I don’t know which I like better, Little Feat’s version or Ronstadt’s

Don’t forget the Very Large Space Array. If anyone in the galaxy gives us a ring, that’s where we’ll get the call.

But AOC’s got a Frida Kahlo vibe, and Plame only has a Naomi Watts vibe. I think I’m right about this.

And NM was a pit stop for Bourdain who put a kind of seal of approval on it.

Steve Earle has a real gritty version, but I am sticking with Ronstadt.

I loved her music all the years she performed but now that she can’t because of Parkinson’s her work is even more important.

Richard Shindell has a live version on one of his CDs.

I loved Anthony, but I have to say that more important people than him put a bigger stamp of approval on the state long before he came through.

D.H. Lawrence, for one. His ashes are interred on his ranch north of Taos. And of course Georgia O’Keefe. And those two and many others brought there by Mabel Dodge Luhan.

My mistake I thought 3rd district was the Santa Fe and Albuquerque area, Albuquergue is its own district.

I used to live in Denver back in 1973, 75. Worked for a communication company and ran service calls in Co. Wy. Ut. Mt. Idaho And Nm. I was on the road all the time. It all had some really beautiful country.

I was only replying to the earlier post.

Ok folks I know there are number of towns in NM, but Albq . Dominates that State although I suspect the I25 corridor north of Albq. Must be growing.

They moved to SF in ‘O7 or thereabouts - so at least 10 years now.

Did someone already mention Geogia O’Keefe? Mabel Dodge Luhan?

I’ve lived in Santa Fe the last 2 years after living in Albuquerque for 4, and while I think I knew she had a home around here, I don’t recall hearing of any involvement in civic activities. I do know one of the candidates identified in the article, and am aware of another that is thinking of throwing a hat into the ring.

Santa Fe is like Disneyland for rich old white people; most of the people who work here can’t afford to live here. So they live outside of town- Espanola, Las Vegas, even Albuquerque. Northern NM outside of Santa Fe is a lot different from both SF and Albuquerque.
