Discussion: Ex-Klansman David Duke Floats Another Run For Congress—Against GOP Whip

He just wants to see if he can shake a few dollars out of the people attending the mess that will be the GOP Convention next week.

Duke said. “We are on the offensive today."

Earth to David Duke: you’ve always been offensive…

Who is the Dem candidate from that district? Geez, that should be a good win, gerrymandering or no.

Gee, I wonder why he thinks now is a good time to make his move?

I thought it was illegal to run for Congress if you’ve been convicted of a felony. If not, it should be. Kind of a no-brainer imo.

Translation: “Hallelujah! Hosanna!!! The pendulum has swung!!! Trump and the Teatrolls have made it cool to be a racist again!!!”

Awesome news! I sincerely hope he decides to run so that Democrats can hang a literal white supremacist around the GOP and Trump’s necks.

This is the election to hit these cockroaches with bug spray and send them to their eternal reward. They dare to come out in the light? All the better to zap them.

Obama asked the key question in a speech a few weeks back—is this who we are? Is this who we want to be? (Actually I think what he technically said was, “Where does this stop?”) And I sincerely believe and think the majority will reject this ugliness very vehemently. I’ve mentioned once or twice I live in a mixed neighborhood where everybody gets along. White, black, Hispanic, gay, straight, rich, poor. We argue about stupid stuff like what the name of the library ought to be, but not about whether it’s OK to be who you are. We can’t be the only town in America that feels that way.

“He crawled on his hands and his knees to the black caucus. This should not stand,” Duke said.

There are people trying to bring us together, like the President and the police chief and mayor of Dallas. And then, there are people like David Duke.

I suppose the Republican base may well favor the real David Duke over the one “without the baggage”. From their perspective, the “baggage” is where all the good stuff resides.

He can campaign with Trumpy.

“We are on the offensive today. There’s no more defenses.”

Famous last words of 1/2 of all armies that have ever fought.

He’s so hopped up on hate, he’s not going to know whether he’s right or wrong until it’s too late:

Wasn’t he exceptionally brilliant today? This had to be the most difficult of all speeches for him in terms of our racial divide. I can;t imagine life without him in the White House.

That sad thing is that he’s probably right, there are millions of people in the US who want to see him and others like him in control, so they can put everyone who isn’t a white male is “put in their place”. I really, really hope that Americans finally rise up and tell all these jerks that we don’t want their hatred to infect the nation anymore.

Go for it, that district deserves an unashamed racist.

“There are millions of people across the country who would like to have me in the Congress."

Fortunately, there are tens of millions across the country who don’t agree.
Hopefully, a fair number of the latter still live in your district.

“I’d be the only person in Congress openly defending the rights and the heritage of European Americans."

I hear the GOP’s frantically trying to fill speaking slots at next week’s convention.

He’d be the perfect keynoter for 2016.

Now there’s a distinction without a difference if ever I saw one.
