Discussion for article #228375
Wonder how quickly the ex-aide will turn states’ evidence? Grab the popcorn and open a nice chilled bottle of Schadenfreude.
Quid pro quo. Even the Reactionary Five on the Supreme Court say that’s corruption.
Wow, that’s epic.
And, I’d never heard of KanCare, and I fricken live here!
Does Brownback has the power of the pardon? Could see that deployed before he leaves office … in 2015.
OK, I googled KanCare and it’s a ripoff. It covers 30-50% of costs, and I’d hardly call that adequate insurance!
The article refers to it as “KanCare”, but the actual name of the program that privatizes Medicaid for the poor and disabled is “Kouldn’tCareLess”.
He can’t pardon a federal crime.
A former Republican state senator is the source of this story. They really want Brownback out of office, don’t they!
Amazing how gullible libertarians and the credulous mainstream media view the debate over “privatization” as strictly a wonky policy discussion. They ignore how it so often devolves into merely an opportunity for corruption.

The thing I’ve never liked about Brownback is that he never fully opens his eyes. I’ve learned never to trust anyone’s true intentions if I can’t see his eyes. Brownback fails in that test, miserably.
And everything else, too, of course.
Sing it with me. Bye, Bye Brownback.

Yet they assume that every level of government is corrupt beyond repair. It boggles the mind.
Non-profit, accountable to the public: CORRUPTION!
For-profit, untouchable except through well-organized boycotts/public pressure: no prob, bob.
There are more than a hundred formerly elected Kansas Republicans who are urging people to vote for Davis over Brownback.
REPUBLICANS!
Now it’s the GOTP that’s saying, “What’s the matter with Kansas?”
All this popcorn is making me fat(ter)…
Sounds like Rubio & Gov. Voldemort’s attempt at health care “reform”…
That’s all that’s left after the graft comes off the top.
