Discussion: Energy Sec. Perry Says C02 Levels Not Primarily To Blame For Climate Change

I’d like to see someone ask him a detailed question about uranium decay and storage issues. That’s also in his portfolio.
Beyond spelling “uranium” (maybe), I doubt he could say anything.

At the ended of the interview, Kernan gave Perry a verbal pat on the back. “Alright, Mr. Secretary, that’s a pretty good answer. You did well there.”

I think Kernan fell on his atio.

“No, most likely the primary control knob is the ocean waters and this environment that we live in,” replied the secretary.

Wait, what?? He’s blaming the ocean and the environment for changes in climate ???

Its always a mark of a great interviewer when they let answers like “ocean waters and this environment” to why is there climate change, go with out further details.

JHC. Did they have to take a ‘stupid’ test to see if they qualified to serve in the Trump Administration? I’ve really had it with these jerkwads.

Kernan and Perry. Couple of doofi talking heads. Luckily no one watches CNBC nor takes Perry seriously.

Our last two energy secretaries were eminent physicists, including one who won a Nobel Prize. They apparently didn’t know much about climate change compared to this brainiac … Dr. Oops-enheimer.

I say this on a regular basis, but today the USA hit a new low. Perry blamed environmental issues on “this environment” and he got congratulated on that answer by a supposed journalist. My response is so much stronger than just being ashamed. A fourth grader would fail a science test if he/she provided an answer like this.

“This idea that science is just absolutely settled and if you don’t believe it’s settled then somehow you’re another Neanderthal, that is so inappropriate from my perspective,” Perry said.

That being the perspective of a troglodyte.

As G-d is my witness, if you took Perry’s brain out and put it in a bird it would be flying backwards and upside down.

The “smart glasses” aren’t working, pRick.

They don’t make Perry look smarter.

He just makes the glasses look dumber.

Or, Dr. GOPpenheimer.

He is also a logic denier. The existence of cause-effect relationships have not been established and uniformly accepted by logicians.

While it’s nice that incumbent hydrocarbon producers have a mouthpiece in government, the costs to the US in terms of abandoning the field in climate disruption issues are prodigious. Treating natural services as externalities is just poor economics. I’d say Rick’s comment, if we follow through in with policies that ignore climate disruption and carbon combustion, just cost us roughly $2-3 trillion. Who’d have thought the the cost of ownership of a Rick Perry could be so high?

“This idea that science is just absolutely settled and if you don’t believe it’s settled then somehow you’re another Neanderthal, that is so inappropriate from my perspective,” Perry said.

And since this moron doesn’t have anything to do with science, why would ANYONE listen to him?? His opinion (or as he says, perspective) remains at the intersection of Jack and Sh^t. Science isn’t formulated based on “consensus.”

EDIT TO ADD: It’s my understanding that the Neanderthals have not been shown to have had an unusually low intellect. They may have been less aggressive than Homo Sapiens but not intellectually disadvantaged and leaning more towards creativity. Unfortunately, some anthropolgists (you know, pointy headed elitists) think that Homo Sapiens may have eaten the Neanderthals when resources became scarce.

LOL. The ocean? Yeah, and it’s the fridge’s fault when my oven gets hot. He’s not being a “skeptic.” He is being a willfully, deliberately, intentionally ignorant and mendacious asshole and tossing out nonsense as a distraction.

“And that big sun thingy, too,” he added. “That has something to do with it.”
