My son’s pre-K and special ed teachers don’t really care about him…but Dinesh D’Souza, he’s really got his best interests and heart.

Either that, or Souza is a monster who doesn’t care about kids and is only trying to use to schools for a political purpose, and is projecting.

His documentary America was a “hit film.” It got 8% likes on the film site Rotten Tomatoes Users on the site rated it 2.9 out of 10, and it was pretty much universally trashed everywhere else also

There are about 350 million people in America. Fox ‘News’ Channel’s most popular program draws ~2 million old, white and unemployed male viewers sitting around the house all day screaming at the TV.

2 million viewers out of 350 million- less than 0.5% of America’s population.

So who cares what Fox or their audience is babbling on about??? They are not a responsible news organization with journalists- they’re an entertainment factory whose ‘hosts’ are paid to spew utter nonsense and every time we click on a story and shake our heads in dismay we’re renewing their contracts.

Why lend them any credence whatsoever, beyond their major accomplishment of providing late-night TV comedian fodder…their frothing inanity and manufactured outrage should be met with either stony silence or howls of derisive laughter.

We need to stop paying them any notice whatsoever.

In my college days I had a roommate who often made highly racist and anti-Semitic jokes, but never, ever made a single joke about black folks. I was such a dumbass because it never occurred to me that “Duhh, you stupid bitch, she’s not going to clown black folks in front of black folks.” Long story short, some white friend of mine finally couldn’t take it anymore and told me all the things she’d said about me and other black folk. I learned a valuable lesson that clearly Cruz and D’Felon still haven’t figured out yet. Just because they’re not saying it to you, doesn’t mean they’re not saying it about you.

What a load of horse crap. First off D’Sousa has no credibility. None. He’s a felon. Secondly I spent 40+ years at a University and did my share of teaching. The other Professors I knew reflected the same politics that was in the rest of the general population. To say all professors are liberals trying to brainwash students is hogwash. I know conservative profs, liberal profs and middle of the roaders. They’re just like the rest of the population.
Those two are fascists fear mongers of the worst sort.

Will someone or whatever gods there be rid us of this old wives tale of the “liberal professors brainwashing our young people”?

I first heard that back in high school decades – many decades – ago.

The conservative Catholics sent their kids to Notre Dame and Loyola and St. John’s by golly. The Baptists sent their kids to some Bible -thumping diploma mill.

In 4 years at a state university in KahliFORniah of all places, not once did any professor attempt to influence the way I was to vote.
Ironically, some of these conservative Christian schools do try to indoctrinate their kids in conservative points of view.

What’s a mother to do?

Recall that Socrates, poor bastard, was forced to drink poison for poisoning the minds of Greek youth. So, we had conservative assholes even back then.

Conservative inductive reasoning: I had this professor one time — therefore college professors are liberals, don’t believe in free speech, and brainwash students. It is not a high mark for Dartmouth College if they gave this simpleton a degree.
