Discussion: Dowd Says Mueller Report (Which He Hasn't Read) Is ‘Pure Mischief,’ ‘Not Fair’

You wouldn’t believe his poetry. I love the fact that a lawyer comes right out and admits that he hasn’t read something but he knows it’s “pure mischief.” I really can’t wait to see it for myself tomorrow. (Or whatever bowdlerized version Barr releases.)

'Cause he’s extra innocent?

Here is the chance to see if FOX is a Republican channel or Trump one.

Pass the word.

(Trump chastising FOX regarding Bernie’s appearance was a hint…and THAT is very disturbing…Trump believes that FOX is not a network…he believes that its the Public Information/Advertising/Communications Arm of Donald J. Trump Enterprises. Sorry Rupert…You now belong to Trump–or WILL be)

Any day I read the word “bowdlerized” is a better day than the one that came before.

I really miss the days when I remembered John Dowd for the Rose Report.

This is merely all the king’s horses and all the king’s men trying to put a broken egg back together again. Expect more of same. They even trotted out the unreliable witness Judge Ken Starr, porn writer.

And I am coming to the conclusion that Trump’s hold on people is a VERY HIGHLY sophisticated form of blackmail the likes of which we have never EVER seen.

I am convinced of that.

Unfortunately Weld won’t make a dent. He’s even older than Trump and most seriously discredited himself with his previous campaign for president as a Libertarian, running with Gary Johnson. OK, they did apparently get 4.5 million votes.

Someone like Mitt Romney (no matter what you or I might think of him) could do some damage, but not this guy. I thought Lawrence’s enthusiasm was misplaced.

Could you expand on the blackmail theory, please?

I love when the Repubs haul out “hate” as a disqualifier. Because we all know how much they respect and love the Clintons and Obamas, and have always tempered their criticisms and investigations with clear-eyed assessments of their opponents’ basic good will and humanity.

Strangest thing is that I only knew him for that. He did his job, delivered the report, (I don’t know if he responded to Rose’s complaints) and faded into the background.

Now…he has a lot to say.

I’m frustrated by Mueller’s silence at this point. Sure - he kept the entire investigation locked down tight - leak proof. And that SEEMED like a good idea.

As long as we thought ‘the truth will be revealed’.

But all through the investigation the smear mongers have worked their slander unabated. Then the Barr ‘summary’ came out - and more silence from Mueller. Even while Barr and Rosenstein commented publicly on the summary. That should have been the green light for Mueller to at least say, “We wrote summaries that were designed to be released publicly - he could just release those.” Sure, we KNOW about those summaries because other members of the team have spoken out.

But not Mueller.

“To sin by silence when they should protest, makes cowards of men.” - Lincoln.

I KNOW Mueller is not a ‘coward’ in the sense that most people use the word. Fear of physical danger. But his silence at this point - in defense of the good work he and his team labored over - gives me pause.

I’m going to hope he makes a public comment about the ‘new’ summary. (Or whatever they decide to call it when it goes in the toilet).

The Russians have very sophisticated techniques. So does the National Enquirer. In addition, Trump is a Mob Boss who has operated outside the law for all of his adult life.

He is a criminal.

And, w/r/t/ to Weld, Lawrence never said anything about the Primary challenger of Presidential incumbents
winning. Rather, he said that those incumbents were damaged and he listed those occurrences.
MY TAKE on Weld (regardless of how he does) rests more on Trump and his thin skin confronting real opposition from someone calling themselves Republican after having coasted with McConnell and Co. being his slaves.

Trump is a lazy fat bully.

It must mean that they are trying to rebut that Trump is “Totally Exonerated”.

These Trumpkins have some case, talking about “politics and hate.”

I assure Mr. Dowd that we’re acting out of simple Christian love.

Trump is guilty of sexual assault, obstruction of justice, tax fraud, loan fraud, international money laundering, and treason. He’s crying out for someone to stop his sinfulness.

That be us : - )

Wait…last moth it was the holy grail, proving without a shadow of a doubt that there was NO COLLUSION. Now it’s mischief?

What changed?
