Discussion: Donald Trump Won’t Introduce Def Leppard At The Iowa State Fair After All

Discussion for article #239350

I’m all for Trump winning the caucuses in Iowa and the primary in NH, because…

I’m a far-left liberal Democrat, and comparted to Trump, Sanders makes the most sense as a presidential choice, and Hillary would be okay, too.

Donald Trump, the troll of the Republican Party in 2016, will help insure a Democratic victory, November 2016.

Remember of those 33% of people who admit to being Republicans, only 20+ % of them support Trump, that’s about 7% of the voting public.

A fitting and ironic end to the life of the Republican Party as a serious party in America, when a multi-billionaire destroys the credibility of the party that always only tries to protect the rich from taxation.

“Def Leppard have never been a political band, and if we were, I for one wouldn’t be associating my name with this clown,” Campbell wrote.

How could Def Leppard even hear the introduction?

Vivian Campbell is my new hero! And what the hell has happened to Joe Elliott?!?

Trump representatives speculate that when they indicated a mild interest in the event, they misunderstood it to be a benefit for a deaf leper, which the Trump camp thought they could parlay into publicity that he is a committed philanthropist.

And aside from Trump’s losing the aging, heavy-metal movement vote, the over-reaching importance of this nugget is ???

I’m too old and too deaf to know what Def Leopard is. But I think I like them already.

That even silly, over-the-hill, big hair, metal bands know better than to associate with the boorish Trump. I personally revel in that “nugget,” and I’m not a Def Leppard fan by any stretch of the imagination.

This story is a lead up to the real news. Trump will sing an opening number instead of just introducing Def Leppard. Trump will once again sing the Green Acres theme song as he did for the 2005 Emmys. Iowa fair officials believe he will be well received and not too corny for the Iowa stage.

Sorry, didn’t read the article. Have had my fill of Trump-mania for now…but, maybe he can get Sinatra or an Elvis impersonator to come to his rally. Its never too late for reviving the undead.

Nancy Sinatra, Ole Blue Eyes, Graceland and the Las Vegas strip await your call Donald…royalties, ya know.

Nothing says 100% Americana like introducing a British hair-metal band from Sheffield England.

The D in Donald stands for dignity…

This is a learning experience for Trump, I’m sure, because he’s learning that the difference between being an obnoxious idiot host of a reality show and being an obnoxious idiot in real, live reality is that in real, live reality the contestants tell you to fuck yourself and walk away, leaving you standing on the stage alone.

This is for the best…

If one was to “Pour some sugar pn” Donald, he’s never get the bees out of the best in his head…

One more reason to enjoy the Def Leppard show I’ll attend in September (with Styx and Tesla).
