I thought Angus King’s comment to Comey was priceless when Comey said he couldn’t comment on any ongoing investigation into whether Trump’s campaign staff and Putin.

FBI director: “We never confirm or deny a pending investigation.”

Senator: “The irony of your making that statement here, I cannot avoid.”

I am not so sure that is an accurate characterization

Here’s the thing - Every little bit of this boxes in the Monster before he ever takes the oath of office.

Everything that happened during the election that delegitamizes him further is a good goddamn thing. So it’s not too late for this to have an affect.

It will be difficult for Sessions to do so. Inspector General operates independently and isn’t appointed by politicians. That said, Sessions still can cause problems. Josh Marshall has as new Editor’s Blog up about this.

No, the DOJ inspector general is totally independent. The President can neither fire them nor interfere with any investigation their doing.

Plus seeing how Sessions new boss bitched about stuff being unfair…

This is a golden opportunity for Trump.

DNI,DCI and possibly the FBI director.

Yeah, and if I go out in the morning and find pig shit on top of my car instead of seagull droppings.

We will because we aren’t in power which makes us mad and drives us to the polls.

AT least that happened here when W was re-elected. The pushback was incredible here in Dallas Co - we voted straight Democratic in that mid term. We changed the county and turned it blue and it has been ever since '06.

Carson’s only experience with “housing” is that he’s lived in a house, so what’s the problem? This is the Trump administration. You’ve been subject to the laws of the land, so clearly you’re qualified.

thank you. I stand corrected.

They won’t get sued because the Committee handling the arrangements has no doubt paid the standard ASCAP Licensing Fees that would cover the use of whatever copyrighted music performed at Comrade Coir Coif’s Coronation.

Better yet, though, is that Bruce could cause them to unceremoniously withdraw with a simple phone call, preferably from his attorney. (I suspect Springsteen fans are already up in arms.) Tribute bands don’t do so well after the public becomes aware that the unwilling “tributee” is righteously pissed off and, essentially, asks people to not go see them. Moreover, I suspect Springsteen may have a way of making his displeasure known.

That said, did anyone else notice they bill themselves as America’s Number One Springsteen Tribute Band? What a pisser!

Slightly OT but - They just interviewed MSNBC’s new star, Greta Van Susteren, about this news. She spoke for quite awhile using the same language over and over (including 4 references to “how the sausage is made”), defended Comey, and claimed that none of this could have had an impact on the election because early voting had already started. There you have it, folks. MSNBC is previewing their new talking points.

LOL…you really think a Trump Committee has paid attention to details like licensing fees?

Perhaps it’s in the eye of the beholder. Just saw this on HuffPo
Perhaps there is a ‘strategy’ here, but my “jaundiced” eye fails to see it.
