What’s with the dopey headline link saying “Comey” is the one being investigated? The article says no such thing,

Hopefully some heads will be rolling at the NY Field Office, where a lot of these problems initiated. And part of the inquiry should include former NY Office head James Kallstrom, as well as Rudy G. Both are Hillary haters, and it appears they were the ones threatening to leak info if Comey did not make a statement. From there looks like Comey rushed the review and cleared Hillary. In no way am I seeing where Comey is the target of this. In fact the investigation is of DOJ officials, so does that mean Loretta Lynch is a target? Of course not.

I see that the investigation will be bipartisan, i.e., also look into the role played by Jill McAbe. No doubt that portion of the investigation will be the one that will stick, in accordance with the general rule in American political life that female Democrats should be thrown under the bus at every opportunity, for whatever reason.

Yes, because I don’t expect a report to come out before the mid terms. So there is a good chance that there will be a Democratic majority in the Senate able to block Trump’s picks.

WASHINGTON — The Justice Department inspector general’s office said Thursday it would open an investigation into the decision in October by James B. Comey, the F.B.I. director, to inform Congress about a new review in the Hillary Clinton email investigation — a move Mrs. Clinton has said cost her the election.

The inspector general’s office said the investigation came in response to complaints from members of Congress and the public about actions by the F.B.I. and the Justice Department during the campaign that might be seen as politically motivated.

As an aside, I’m absolutely flabbergasted as how easy the Democrats have been on the Trump picks before them so far. If there reason behind this, I cannot fathom it.

Hell, Little Marco (grandstanding for his own benefit of course) was infinitely harder on Tillerson than any Democrat was. Even Corker was harder. It’s just puzzling.

And on Comey. It’s delightful if unfulfilling now to see the investigation. I’m just glad that the incoming Turnip Freakshow can’t immediately squash it.
