Hard to believe this douche was once a Professor.
BTW, the twitter responses are priceless.
Sure, hearing of over two thousand children snatched from the arms of their parents and put into concentration camps and hearing of thousands more would-be asylum seekers locked up for months, if not years, hurt but this takes the suffering to a while new level! When will they think of the privileged white male law professors! <sob!>
The slings and arrows of being held responsible for one’s views and actions. Injustice, Martha’s Vineyard is thy name.
Dershowitz should be glad this is not the 1600s. He would have been burned at the stake for being possessed by the devil.
The trump stake!
Raging and public self-righteous egotists like Dershowitz are always shocked when they discover that most people do not hold them in the same esteem with which they hold themselves. And then they get mad at the mob for being mean or uncivilized.
Referring to “old friends” who oppose Trump, he added later: “[T]hey are shunning me and trying to ban me from their social life on Martha’s Vineyard.”
Poor Alan Dershowitz. Next complaint will be that nobody came to his birthday party.
He’s in serious competition with Giuliani for the most abrupt plummet from eminence to ridicule.
Not so much possession as a time-share
Oh dear! Dershowitz is being shunned by all the “best” people on the Vineyard. That made me cry, but, with great effort, I managed to laugh through my tears.

Proof positive that only the good die young… I think he and Dick Cheney should taking a hunting trip sometime soon.
Not being invited to social events is exactly like being denied the opportunity to make a living.
Wouldn’t his role in the OJ defense team also cause him to be shunned from polite society?
“You’ll never eat lobster in this town again!”
Awwwww, is thin skinned Trumpbot Dershowitz having a sad because normal people hate his disgusting support for the lying, thieving, incompetent and traitorous Trump? Poooor baby.
Poor crazy Alan. It just isn’t fun down at the Chilmark General Store anymore.
"“[T]hey are shunning me and trying to ban me from their social life on Martha’s Vineyard.” "
If this is not some faux victimhood gambit, which it is possibly, then doesn’t that say something about the more rarefied atmosphere of Martha’s Vineyard?
Also, can someone explain the brackets around the T at the beginning of the sentence? I am not sure if this is emphasis or something else.
“Either you are for Trump or against him, and that is all some people need to know to make judgments about you,” Dershowitz wrote.
Right you are, sir! If you’re for Trump, I and many others certainly will judge you.
Actually, there a lot of Prima Donna Professorships.
“From a personal point of view, I could not care less about being shunned by people whose views regarding dialogue I do not respect.”
Good Lord, was this guy actually a Professor? The academic non-logic of writing a whiny op-ed article about “apparent” shunning on elite Marthas Vineyard while “I could not care less” is staggering, and about the age equivalent of our 4-year old President.
Maybe he should summer on the Mississippi shore instead. 'Course, he might get shunned there as well, but it won’t be for his politics.
