Poliquin’s lawsuit is going nowhere. The judge (a Trump appointee) gave him the beat down this morning when he ruled on his emergency motion to stop the count. All but told him not to come back in a couple weeks to the next scheduled hearing – shot down every one of his arguments already.

That cleared the way for the next round of ranked-choice voting to take place in Augusta. It also dealt a major blow to Poliquin’s overall legal bid, though the Republican said in a statement that he would continue the court fight.

(Judge) Walker said in his decision that Poliquin and three supporters hadn’t demonstrated a likelihood that they would prove ranked-choice voting’s unconstitutionality and there was “a certain degree of irony” in Poliquin’s proposed remedy, since Bond and Hoar voters likely expected ranked votes to count…"

That is the truth. There are so many of us who made phone calls, knocked on doors, and sent out hundreds of postcards for the first time. We are all mobilized and ready to go to defeat Collins starting NOW.

Keep those Dems coming.
And, just in case Susie does run in 2 years, there’s already $3,700,000+ set aside for an opponent.

Didn’t Maine’s Republican governor Paul LePage sign this “instant run-off” bill in the first place?

That blue wave keeps crashing!!

As I remember, he called it “the most horrific thing in the world.”

It was the people of Maine who forced the issue.

How is the Dem Senate bench in Maine? Anyone who stands out as a credible threat to Collins?

I always liked Collins. I thought of her as a New England Republican, moderate, but socially liberal. After her vote for Kavanaugh, however, I’ll never think the same of her. Along with that spineless jackass from Arizona, Flake, they dragged this country through a dog and pony show only to vote him in for a lifetime appointment, and basically claim that Dr. Blasey Ford was lying. She has to go.

Now is the time for Mainers to protest weekly at her offices "encouraging "her to retire. Hey, it worked with Darrell Issa and others, didn’t it?
