She doesn’t care who shows up at her office.
OT, but discussed yesterday—the CA 39 race.
As of this morning Young Kim [R] had a 122 vote lead. More ballots still to be counted.

yay, Maine! They did it!
in the face of two horrible election results which stuck them with LePage, they took matters into their own hands, fought to get the ranked choice voting put in place, and now it’s working! I’m so happy for them… and what a great example of persistence and having it pay off.
You’ve got that right! When she voted for Kavanaugh, she voted to lose her next election.
Just for the record, the push for Jared came from democrats in every state in New England. Here in MA, his was the only campaign we were focused on.
This is SO sweet!!!

Someone else is very happy in Maine today.
Yeah, but mother’s hair makes everything seem, somehow, less blue…
if Golden has 50.53% ranked voting will not come into play. It’s used when no candidate get a clear majority. Poliquin can win his suit ( but I doubt it will be heard ) but he still lost the election.
That was the count following the addition of second choice votes.
And if she does turn out to be a Republican, it’s our fault, because we are mean to Republicans.
P.S.:
Congratulations to Rep-elect Golden and the people of Maine
Rescue personnel found a washed-up Q-Tip where the tsunami came ashore…
Just a point, ranked voting is actually unconstitutional for Maine statewide positions. The legislature has to correct that. No such issues for Fed elections
…AND Paul Mauriat…
You know who else has to eat his “this is not a Blue Wave Election” pontificating last Tuesday evening? James Carville.
O/T But I think the results show that ORANGE COUNTY CALIFORNIA IS FLIPPED TO BLUE… OMG!!
My candidate, Gil Cisneros, is the apparent winner of CA39 by a very slim margin of a couple of hundred votes. OMG. (And I think this is the final race.)
ETA: CA39 covers parts of three counties: Orange, Los Angeles, and San Bernardino, and I looked at the results for all three this afternoon. Gil was slightly behind in OC and SB (his opponent had something like 50.3% of the votes) , but he had a big margin in LA County (he had 58% of the vote). Most of the votes came from OC, but I guess he was able to get enough from LA to carry him over the finish line. I am beyond thrilled.

YAH! Love it!!
I thought flipping the 48th district was a big step. Hooray!
When the LA County drop hits tomorrow, Gil will be up by 3k-4k votes. He’s going to run away with this like Katie Porter just did in CA-45.
No votes came in from LA County over the last few days. Gil has been gaining ground in OC and San Bernardino. LA County will put it out of reach for Young Kim.
