Discussion for article #246232
Good for the Nevada Democrats!
And, golly, what more proof does anyone need that Republicans want Sanders to get the nomination 'cause they’re scared of Clinton?
OMG…Voter Fraud???
Kobach…calling Mr. Kobach. You have to put a stop to this
immediately!!!
I already had enough proof when I began hearing the echoes of Nader in the Sanders campaign. Look for Sanders to run as a spoiler if he doesn’t get the nomination. It’s another children’s crusade with double the Republican involvement.
Naww, I’d say a Streissand effect. I doubt it will still be an issue. But before it would have been like 5 college republicans. Now maybe more will know about it by making it a national story.
Sanders will not run a spoiler campaign. He understands the stakes.
Well, this isn’t anything that strong Voter ID laws can’t prevent. Amiright?
Exactly. These are the same jackasses who try to take the moral high ground on preventing voter fraud. IOKIYAR
He did
He does
What about the future?
What I am concerned about is the escalation of the vitriol between the two camps. Campaigns have the candidate, the brain trust, the staff, the workers, the supporters. That’s a lot of emotion.
Which could affect the candidate.
And I agree with you about the stakes.
I have to say the vitriol is all coming from the Bernie campaign. I’ve never had people call me such filthy names in comments as when I’ve criticized or questioned him. It so very much resembles GOP campaigns and their camp followers. I would never want to see him win in a million years.
The Kochs have embraced him (“We agree the system is rigged”) Trump has embraced him (“I agree with Bernie…”) and now the GOP has put out a $600,000 ad supposedly against Sanders but basically painting him as fantastic.
To me, he’s just as grumpy, underhanded and mean spirited as any GOPer has ever been. He actively seems to dislike and distrust Democrats and he certainly dismisses the only two Democratic presidents we’ve had in the past 30 years as having amounted to nothing.
Your lips to god’s ears. And I say that as an atheist.
Unlike you, Sanders is a mature adult who understands the consequences of his words and actions. Hopefully you will have grown enough by then to support him in the general just as he will HRC should she prevail in the primaries.
Please go peddle your bs elsewhere. Yes the campaign is getting more heated, not a surprise as it becomes closer and it appears Sanders has a real chance.but please don’t pretend that it is at all one sided. IF you believe that I feel sorry for you and your blind partisan ignorance.
I disagree. I’m a Hillary supporter but I take Bernie at his word and he really hasn’t shown any preference to run as a spoiler, unlike Nader who from day one was running little more than a vanity campaign to boost his own visibility. I also believe Bernie, if Hillary wins, won’t take his chips and go home as Nader did blowing a chance at building the progressive movement, I expect Bernie will work with Hillary and the Democrats to begin moving towards his (and their combined) vision.
True The Caucus! I expect help will be pouring in from all corners of the country from those brave patriots who have fought so hard and sometimes illegally to preserve the integrity of the ballot box.
Should be arriving any minute now. Just wait…
I know it’s coming…
I vote in GOP primaries in IL when the Dem side doesn’t matter.
Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, who hails from the state, issued a statement calling the alleged plans “shameful and immoral.”
Well, duh! It’s College Republicans. It’s what they do. It’s what they’re for.
Reno College Republicans press release that announced what it called a “loophole” in the state’s election practices that allows registered Republicans to caucus for both parties.
Filling out paperwork to change ones registration to vote in one election and counting on the delay in processing to vote before your name is removed from the rolls in another election isn’t a “loophole” it is cheating at best and possibly fraud (and coincidentally yet another example of how Voter ID laws have absolutely no relation to the types of electoral shenanigans that occur in the real world).
When put head-to-head: Democrat vs. Republican, Socialist vs. Free Market, we know which candidate will prevail," she said.
“Which of course is why we plan to cheat.” she continued “Because tricks and fraud are our only chances.”
This is why you do not have open primaries or caucuses and require people to register 30 days before. It cuts down on this bullcrap. Also, hold your thing on the same day as the other party.
Bernie Sanders— the Ralph Nader of 2016.
Why in the world are the two parties’ caucuses on different nights? Crossover voting in primaries has somtimes occurred - think the WI primary of '60 - but you only get to vote once - your choice to be a Dem or R on Election Day.
Iowa’s caucuses are on the same night and time, why not Nevada’s?
