It was inevitable. Anyone who is prepared to shill for Trump is a broken person.
The fact that he has decided to keep this going, when he’s totally unqualified to assume the position, has made me think far less of him than I did after his glowing report about Trump.
No one bought that. Even most Trump supporters aren’t that stupid. Do they care? No.
The dems, especially Tester, would not release this without knowing for sure. Waiting for the pictures.
Agreed chelsea - Tester is really pissed but he’s not reckless. The facts will confirm what Tester and Co. have laid out.
And then, Hugh Hewitt will admit he was wrong, and he’ll be wearing sackcloth. But his tie will be silk.
I don’t really think I was drunk at the time…
I did not wreck a car. It was an SUV.
He could start by sharing the real Trump medical evaluation, instead of the crap that he spouted on that podium when trying to earn this gig.
Lordy, I hope there are tapes.
“Jackson was described as ‘the most unethical person I have ever worked with,’ ‘flat-out unethical,’ ‘explosive,’ ‘100 percent bad temper,’ ‘toxic,’ ‘abusive,’ ‘volatile,’ ‘incapable of not losing his temper,’ ‘the worst officer I have ever served with,’ ‘despicable,’ ‘dishonest,’ as having ‘screaming tantrums’ and “screaming fits,’ as someone who would ‘lose his mind over small things,’ ‘vindictive,’ ‘belittling,’ ‘the worse leader I’ve ever worked for.’”
Sounds like Trump’s Mini-Me!
Trump nominated him and Trump bears the responsibility for that bad choice. But what do you think happened during the Obama years? Did everyone cover for Jackson so that no one knew how troubled he was? Wouldn’t the Secret Service feel obligated to initiate the removal of someone who oversaw the life and death of the President if that person had a drug or alcohol problem? I know the SS were negligent many times in their own behavior - the incidents made me wonder at times if they were seriously interested in protecting Obama. Still, I’m puzzled . . . and places like the Hill are full of Obama’s statements recommending this doctor.
Lat alone in the White House, and achieving the level of rear Adm.
Being an unashamed suck-up can get you a long way in most hierarchical organizations, especially if you’re also proficient in backstabbing.
Yes. Interesting, too, that Trump bypassed six(?) other people and just handed it to Jackson.
Probably
That is, until he was nominated to head the VA…
I have known alcoholics that are able to hide their addiction. They are not all fall down drunks and it may be that Jackson was able to conceal his drinking problem from all but a few people. Lower level staff members fearing retaliation who don’t want to rock the boat are less likely to call this to the attention of higher ups -members of the military. But something about this has me skeptical. More troubling are the accusations about his ethics and hostile work environment. Those seem far more credible to me especially in light of Trump’s glowing and weird health report -citing good genes. It made him sound like a quack.
Even without the release of these allegations, he does not have the experience to run the V.A. He runs the equivalent of a private practice and not a very large one at that.
… Jackson … drunkenly totaled a government car at a Secret Service going-away party.
No big deal. That’s just locker-room driving.
Yeah I tried to link to the WP article, and then it was gone.
Jackson denied the allegation about wrecking the car. “I have no idea where that is coming from,” Jackson said, according to CNN. “I have not wrecked a car. I can tell you that.”
I guess that he was too drunk to remember.
