GOSH …
Who knew that health insurance could be so ’ non-reconcilable ’ —
Oh, well. Time to whip out Plan … what? G, T, Z?
These types of events should lead the local and national news on a daily basis, along with Yertle’s home and office phone numbers, his fax number, and every address where he could ever possibly be found — including his home(s).
This list pretty much blows up everything, it makes a non starter for too many republicans on both political and policy grounds. Strip these things out and I question whether or not McConnell can get to 40 votes, let alone 50.
Plan Nine from Outer Space.
Well, that tor it.
Keeping up the pressure is mighty fine work.
Poor Republicans.
So hellbent on obstruction over the past eight years, they’ve lost their legislative muscles.
They’re a bunch of fat cats wanting to deliver for their fat cat owners, but too flabby to do so.
One might assume that the “Byrd Rule” is unnecessary, because most Americans do not like what is in the Republican bill. But, then again, since when has the opinion of citizens had anything to do with directing policy?
They can deliver. The Freedumb boys will have to abandon their prissiness regarding deficit financing.
That’s my NEXT prediction.
The morning tweet-tantrum:
If he ever had 40 votes, which I question.
Wasn’t you, but there was a lot of talk around here that Mitch had the Parliamentarian in his pocket.
Occurs to me that the Parliamentarian might at least have had a finger in the wind. Between this and McCain, might be a fine excuse for Mitch to just take a dive and save a lot of Senators a potentially unpopular vote. They can tell the donors and citizens whatever’s convenient.
McConnell: Ugly politics, ugly legislation, ugly person.
If you Liked “Plan Nine from Outer Space” try “Amazon Women on the Moon.”
What they are ‘whipping out’ is not a plan and is a deviant crime all on its own.
Heh heh.
In light of this, Mitch’s next move will be interesting.
I think it’s pretty clear that McConnell will pass anything at all, to score a victory. My feeling is that passage is closer now than it was a week or two ago. McConnell’s device of not only withholding the content of the bill, but not even telling Senators which bill will be voted upon, seems to have unbalanced the opposition.
Not only are Mitch and the rest of the desperate to win something Repubs tossing pasta at the wall as a means of legislation, but none of it sticks so they are also awful chefs.
They can’t even cook up wildly partisan and outrageous legislation within the rules.
Hurting a vast segment of the population is something that the foreseers foresaw as bad and made difficult, if not impossible, to proceed with-let alone pass.
