Discussion: Dem Sen: Americans, Congress 'Should Feel Misled' By Ross Russian Biz Ties

raises profound questions about whether he can put the nation’s interest above his own

Is this now a criterion for a member of the Trump administration? Since when?

“Paradise Papers” Just love the name. Paradise is becoming a place called hell, it appears.

Most corrupt administration ever, and republicans in Congress are silent.

Considering how complex the investment portfolios must be of the super wealthy, I wonder if the massive collection of the Paradise Papers may turn out to be a double-edged sword.

I wish the Dems would hit HARD against the provision in the tax plan to remove the estate/death/inheritance tax on the basis that the superwealthy already have ALL these other facilities to keep their wealth for the kids. Let them at least pay estate taxes on what they are holding here in the USA.

Just one more example of who Trump hangs out with and holds up as leadership. It seems the old saying “birds of a feather flock together ” has merit.

I’d be willing to bet good money that Mueller already knew about Ross-Cyprus-Russian connection.

The Trumpists make Harding et al. seem like pikers.

I keep coming down to that idea. Screwing up this country is a side effect, an opportunity, the seeds and connectivity keep pointing to money. You have the whales (Extremely wealthy), the willful idiots, the profiteers, the supporting cast and bozos. But they have put their people in place and created enough chaos to give them cover. If this were an idealistic march to ruining the country, the money trails and cloaking it all would not be as important, at least in specific perspectives. It is beginning to remind me of Chicago in the Capone days. Mueller is becoming Ness.

So did Ross disclose his interest in Navigator or not? The selected quotes are too vague to tell.

He claimed to be divesting and selling all these interests

And,

He came before it and he apparently deliberately concealed these ownership interests,”

So did he disclose his ownership in Navigator or not?

Is there any member of Trump’s cabinet without a bright red conflict of interest? If hypocrisy and lying were felonies, this whole bunch would be facing LWOP.

Plus side: you can get past statutes of limitation with RICO charges.

@thunderclapnewman Forget Teapot Dome. Trump told Native Americans to extract whatever they want from their lands, because, “What are they going to do? Once you get it out of the ground are they going to make you put it back in there? I mean, once it’s out of the ground it can’t go back in there. You’ve just got to do it. I’m telling you, chief, you’ve just got to do it.”

That’s why Mueller is going after the money, SOP for all gangster prosecutions.

There really needs to be a Venn chart of all of Trump’s cabinet members, staff current/fired, and appointments to show all their Russian connections.

I remember, I think it was Rachel Maddow, connected Wilber’s dots months ago.

Draw a very large circle.

Put in it the names of the entire Trump machine.

There’s your Venn diagram.
