Sen. Blumenthal, shame on you! You, more than anyone, are in a position to fully understand that you can never, ever trust a Republican to tell you the truth.

Well, yes…but…you KNEW they were lying. The whole COUNTRY knew they were lying. Trump showed them you just had to say the words ‘I’m divesting’ and everyone would be OK. This ‘Ann Frank ‘I believe everyone is basically good’ defense’ no longer cuts it. This entire cabinet has show a willingness to lie, cheat and deflect. Oh and act with complete and utter paranoia in regarding the American public.

This should have been our first clue, but he was confirmed 72-27.

As a private equity investor, Mr. Ross amassed a fortune by taking advantage of trade deals with countries such as China and Mexico. He sent jobs to Mexico when he was the head of a car parts company, benefiting from some of the Nafta provisions that he will most likely be looking to unwind. And he is maintaining a minority stake in a company backed by the Chinese government.

Probably not. Digging elsewhere, it was reported that he held his interest in Navigator thru a couple Cayman Island trusts. He disclosed this trusts and vaguely suggested he was selling them with no time table.

I bet if you read the transcript, you’ll see that no one from either party pinned him down because in truth they really didn’t care.
