Discussion: Debate Moderator Confronts GOP's Gardner On Personhood Bill Denials

I live down in Douglas County. I don’t even get a call from the local Democratic party and I’ve been voting straight up Dem here for 10 years. But I do get teh carzy libertarian types knocking on my door wanting to know if I think taxes are too high.

A “big lie” is a propaganda technique. The expression was coined by Adolf Hitler, when he dictated his 1925 book Mein Kampf, about the use of a lie so “colossal” that no one would believe that someone “could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously.”~Wikipedia

Squirm, Gardner, squirm.

" is simply a statement that I support life."

It’s perhaps worth noting that this is the official talking point lie being given to GOP/Teatroll candidates across the country. For example, Ernst spewed the exact same shit.

WOW!

The moderator really held Gardner’s feet to the fire and refused to let him dodge the question!

When was the last time any of us saw that from a journalist?

He’s simply following in the footsteps of the Cons’ Messiah:
“Facts are stupid things.”
_______Ronald Reagan _ 1988 Republican National Convention

Truth and facts mean little to nothing to the modern Republican.  Today, they much prefer Big Lie politics: If you lie long and loud enough, you can often fool enough of “the people” and win.

Republican strategy: Lie.  If caught, lie more, be louder, and accuse everyone else of lying.

Nah, he asked actual a series of tough, important questions rather than creepy, trick gotcha questions, but he didn’t manage to keep Gardner from getting away with the same evasions he was questioning him about, so I think he should just be docked a week’s pay and let off with a letter of reprimand in his permanent file.

Astride it, both feet firmly on the convicted’s chest-- would be my best guess.

The likes of Candy Crowley and Chuck Todd are no more capable of distinguishing what this guy did from what they do than a hog is capable of distinguishing Cordon Bleu from Chef Boy-Ar-Dee.

My statement says that I support life but if your a Republican then I am in favor of sending you to Devils island where you will likely die. But that doesent mean that I am in favor of destroying all Republican life forms.

OK Colorado I think America has had enough Tea Party enthusiasts in the senate. Sending this schmuck to Washington as your senator will be disastrous for such a progressive state. Enough with the brain fart already Vote Blue

I wondered where our 9news guy has been the last couple of days.Apparently, he was doing his homework and his job. Somebody at NBC please take note. This guy works for you. Please get rid of Chuck Todd. I know this man looks like he doesn’t need to shave yet but I haven’t heard anyone call out bullshit like that on Meet The Press since Tim Russert died
