Discussion for article #228911
Gosh. An actual journalist.
I guess that means that he should be fired.
No, he just has to apologize. Interns are for firing.
Facts are GOP’s kryptonite.
Hey Media! Take some notes from this guy. This is what you should do when people blatantly lie to you.
I got my ballot here in Colorado, and the personhood issue is on there. The media should definitely spend more time asking why Etch a Sketch Cory is running away from an issue that he supported which is on the ballot.
Will somebody send this to Chuck Todd and the MTP producers?
A parallel situation:
MODERATOR: The card you are holding up is black. Your colleagues say it is black, your opponent says it is black, and we can all see that it is black. Yet you continue to tell us it is white. How do you explain this?
CANDIDATE: In my opinion, black is white.
MODERATOR: Let the record show that the candidate declined to give a substantive answer.
It’s OK, CNN and MSNBC have already apologized for him, under threat from Rinsed Preebie.
Gardner is a liar pure and simple. The personhood bill says that life begins immediately, and that life has more rights than the mom. There I said it for Gardner.
Gardner is a professional liar—like most reactionary right-wing jackasses.
It’s refreshing to see a journalist—a vanishing breed in political coverage----call him on his relentless and sloppy lying.
One can only hope that voters can now see what a fraud and a charlatan Gardner really is.
I plan to vote against Etch a Sketch Cory and for Udall, Hickenlooper, and for Irv Halter here in the fifth district. I’m hopeful that Udall and Hick can pull it off, and potentially Halter as well.
the willing suspension of the facts
…for short-term political goals has been the expanding Republican and Republican allied media ownership raison d’être most obviously since Clinton.
Shorter Gardner, “I’m really a fucking liar, and what you really should take from this is that I’ll say anything to hoodwink Colorado voters into electing me. Then I’ll go back to being a right wing loon”
Please feel free to call everyone you know in Colorado and urge them to do the same.
Josh Marshall had a story a day or so ago about the GOP wet dream of limiting the ability of single women to vote.
Looks like Gardner is a man “ahead of his time”
In GOP terms, of course.
It’s not his job to point out GOP b.s.–he said so.
Or sent to the new Chuck Todd School of Journalism, located in Montgomery, AL.
Looks like I might not have to. Fairshare, a progressive group, have been going around knocking on doors getting out the vote for Udall. I know because I got such a visit a couple of weeks ago. The person made sure I was registered to vote (I have been for ten years) and had me fill out a form to essentially remind me to vote.
Again, let me repeat the words of Sen. Udall, and I’m paraphrasing here, “Cory Gardner is an asshole that should not be appointed to pick up dog shit in a park much less be a US Senator.”
