Discussion: David Vitter Enlists 'Duck Dynasty' Star For New TV Ad (VIDEO)

Discussion for article #242782

I would imagine ‘strong conservative values’ would mean you don’t cheat on your wife and set a bad example for your three daughters, rather than how you ‘recover from being found out’.
But that’s just me.

But then there’s no redemption! It’s not impressive to skip the whoremongering, it’s impressive to give up on the whores (or at least claim to), pull yourself up by your own diaper straps, and go back to being a Jesus loving conservative a couple hours a week.

I’ve made lots of mistakes, for sure, but none of them included wearing a diaper, shitting in it and then hiring hookers to change it.

I missed doing that one somehow and insist my elected representative be the same way. Call me Mr. Goody Two-Shoes,

The whole story of the Bible is about redemption.

Some exceptions apply; (1) You must be a Republican to redeem.

Pretty clear that Vitter got it up again. Louisiana is about to say “Up yours”.

“I know he’s made some mistakes, but who hasn’t?” Robertson said in the 30-second spot.

He went on to elaborate, “I once tried to fuck an emu, but the damn thing turned around and took my pecker right off! See, we all make mistakes!”

“The whole story of the Bible is about redemption.”

Hey, where is the story of the politician who crapped in a diaper and hired hookers located? Is that in the Old or New Testament? I forget.

It’s in the STFU PEASANT gospel.

Why is it, in this version of “redemption,” the more egregious the sin, the more you get rewarded with power and money?
I guess it doesn’t pay to live a good life.

“I know he’s made some mistakes, but who hasn’t?” Robertson said in the 30-second spot. “The whole story of the Bible is about redemption. I’m concerned about our state.”

Vitter then repeated the message of his last TV ad: “What defines us in life is how we get up and earn redemption. Where we are as a state is needing to get up based on strong, conservative principles.”

Yes, yes. This makes so much sense! Your state is in the crapper, you’re tens of millions of dollars in the hole because of Bobby Jindal’s “strong, conservative principles” and now you want to employ David Vitter’s “strong, conservative principles”. Keep fucking that chicken!

Or, hitting your mother with a hammer, or stabbing a friend in the gut. Now getting past that is real political capital!
