If Scott Brown can move to New Hampshire to run for Senate it looks like Grimm’s next move would be to move to Illinois to run for governor and serve two terms–one in office and one in prison.

Maybe then The Daily News should stay out of the endorsement business altogether. Sounds a bit too cute by half, and wasn’t at all necessary. They could have just written an article stating they didn’t endorse either side, and still called for his conviction thereby keeping their credibility intact.

I kind of get what they’re saying. The Democrat is so awful that it would be better for Grimm to win, go to prison, and then for two new candidates to run. Still, if I had my druthers, I’d vote for the “dumb, ill-informed, evasive and inarticulate” Democrat over the thug who threatened to murder a reporter for asking him valid questions.

IOKIYAR. Nobody notices until it’s a Dem who is too stupid, ill-informed, evasive and inarticulate to be even remotely worth electing. When it’s a GOPer/Teatroll, the MSM makes him/her a media darling and broadcasts their every drooling soundbite while covering for them with false equivalencies and breathlessly reporting on what a grand race they’re running.
Case in point: Dubya.

I agree with your assessment of that paper, that it is not good for anything but kindling in your fireplace, however the problem is once again our wonderful Dem party putting up horrendous candidates, and the stupid people of that district, who have no problems voting for a thug.
We can only blame the media for their narrative against Dems so much, because our party, as I heard one pundit say earlier, has basically committed political malfeasance in how they have run these midterms all over this country, and second, with the age of information we have with the Internet, and all of the statistics and data at the click of a button, we have a bunch of stupid, lazy people voting, and they base their votes on a 60 second soundbite from the right wing media.

There is no better example of this than in the KY Senate race. Grimes was evasive in answering whether she voted for Obama, and that became the story. The story wasn’t that McConnell, a 30 year sitting Senator, refused to be interviewed by KY’s largest newspapers nor was it that that he outright lied in the debate. The story is the Democrats non-answer about whether she voted for the first black president in a state in with a 10% black population and a 70% racist population.
Just now on one of the local new channels in Louisville (WLKY), they did a piece on the KY Senate race and the final push. They showed footage of Grimes at her various stops while a newscaster spoke about what she was doing and where she was going. For McConnell, they showed video footage AND ran snippets of his and Rand Paul’s stump speeches. It was truly ridiculous.

I’m still waiting for front page headlines of McTurtle’s father-in-law’s shipping business being busted for having over 6 million dollars in cocaine aboard one of his import/export ships (under a Liberian flag so he can avoid taxes in the US), which I believe was headed for China. And that’s how McTurtle inherited his millions over the last decade while in the Senate, as I understand. His wife’s father was very generous passing on his ill-gotten gains, making that scoundrel a fucking millionaire while in the Senate. Imagine the loopholes his daddy-dearest got away with while McTurtle’s wife was Secretary of Labor under Bush. The whole family is corrupt.
