And the GOP Spineless Caucus folds like a card table in

They know that hatred of “illegals” – the shorthand for brown people – overshadows nearly everything else among their constituents including health care & SS. For years there’s been this meme that “illegals” are being given free health care and income. No matter that US citizenship is the first requirement for welfare. They KNOW this.
It’s nutty, but that’s how their voters think. Facts mean nothing.
Tell Trump voters that the GOP is cutting SS & Medicare. They don’t care. They hate “illegals”. That’s their story and they’re sticking to it.
"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: “We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.”
“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”
Some guy from the 1960’s…
I’d like to see them get this through, and hope the Senate will take it up and pass. Trump will likely veto, but with all the noise he’s made about the Dems (!) not coming up with a plan, his veto would show the hypocrisy.
Not that any of his supporters would ever, ever care…
If this effort fails (which I’d bet that it will) Dems need to run on this aggressively in the impacted districts as a sign that the GOP can’t check Trump and does not have the best interests of DACA or minorities at heart. The emerging theme since the CA primary is candidates saying “I’m the one who can stop/check Trump,” That’s exactly what we need to realize the blue wave.
In light of this so-called victory in North Korea, I think Republicans will see this as not a big deal.
It’ll die.
Don’t know that Trump swinging through swing districts and talking about NK is help Repubs in House races.
Interesting dilemma for so-called moderate Republicans. Do the right thing and force a vote or knuckle under to the forces of evil once again. Let’s face it, this will not make it through McConnell’s Senate and Trump would undoubtedly veto it if it did, but it gives Democrats a big cudgel for November.
He’ll push the “bestest economy” and push “peace in our time, only I can do it” nonsense and ask for Republicans in the House to continue his agenda so “obstuctionist Democrats” don’t blow it.
Oh, and brown people continue to destroy our country. DACA is evil.
It’ll die.
I really hope I’m wrong.
Do-Or-Die Day Is Here
If only ----
Unless this was all just for show, for which there’s every reason to suspect.
Whatever comes of this, or doesn’t, will be Democrats’ fault.
Haven’t we learned on this site that moderate Republicans always fold … I expect nothing less this time.
IMHO -
there ARE NO “moderate” repugnicans -
only thinking repugnicans and RWNJ’s.
The R’s can only obstruct; they can not do meaningful governance
Was it one of the guys killed in 1968?
This has been their perverse genius for years. Elect us and we’ll get things done when in fact all they’ve really mastered is saying “No” to Democratic administrations’ proposals. Their know how is atrophied from disuse.
Less “do” and more “die”? Am I right or am I right?
Yeah, that sounds right.
The one with the melanin problem, wasn’t it?
