Discussion: Cruz Won't Rule Out Jumping Back Into Presidential Race

Except no one here needs convincing. We already know he’s whacko. Less people here know what Hillary is about because too many want to ascribe 25 year old bullshit to her based on years of personal rightwing attacks, or have generalized complaints about her vis-a-vis Sanders, and have only horserace narratives from which to base an opinion, rather than the actual ideas she’s proposing. Just saying…I’d like to see more here on her ideas and some dissection of them, just as Bernie’s ideas about the 1% have gotten the lion’s share of news on the Democratic side, but no certain way to actually pay for his ideas, unlike Hillary’s proposals, which do tend to add up with regards to spending. Her priorities towards domestic issues is quite good.

I’m not altogether sure how she fares on the foreign policy side, only that she is more than qualified to handle the complexities on the foreign policy front…whether I agree with her or not, I’m still not sure. But she is miles apart from anyone else running, so there’s that.

Convention rules will lock Cruz out of the nomination. But the disappointment and dread many Republicans harbor over Trump’s nomination represent a bit of a wild card. Trying to predict how those emotions might manifest themselves in the campaign is tricky. Trump could go further off the rails between now and the convention than he has already. I suppose something could go awry, some terribly unacceptable incident, or an effort by power players intervening in the process. Life is full of curve balls.

The last time that this guy saw a path to victory, he did a face plant into Trump’s Orangutan rear end.
His new path might be a lip skid into the IRS to pay back the quarter trillion that he owes us taxpayers.

The Almighty has spoken, he wanted Ted to run, to lose, to be humiliated and exposed as an interloper and to not be a Senator much longer either. This is the Almighty’s doing and mere multi-national Ted has no say in he matter.

The fundies are sans representation and if Lucipher is as close as they can get without having to vote for the Devil himself, they’ll go with Lucipher because it sounds better.

I used to think Salon with Joan Walsh was bad , then she left…Seriously I counted 24 pictures of Trump on the front page a week back. …and the trolls …and the incessant popups and the fuck everything articles sans editing or spellcheck . Like a high schooler’s dream of what a cool website should be

Exactly what the GOP needs right about now.

Wait, there wasn’t a path forward last week, but today there is? Not that I’d actually object to Ted holding out til the fat lady dances, but seriously wishful thinking. Unless…GOD told him there is!

I keep a fainting couch nearby especially reserved for spelling errors. They’re the worst. That and cilantro.

It’s 'the f@@ lady SINGS. She don’t dance.

Can C-Section Born Teddy Cruz filibuster the convention? That would be the greatest conservative spectacle since Clint Eastwood gave his historic speech to that empty chair in Tampa. That Empty Chair speech nearly propelled vulture capitalist, pension thief and tax cheat Mitt Romney to the White House.

Salon has noticeably changed. I loved Joan Walsh when she was with Salon, and frankly the site got worse at Salon after she left. She’s an unapologetic liberal voice, and always has been. The only reason I still visit Salon is mostly because I like reading Amanda Marcotte, who’s insights are very good, even if I don’t always agree with her on the margins, and because I love reading anything by Digby. The number of horrific opinion pieces that are so over-the-top anti-Hillary, always with a correspondingly horrific photo of the woman alongside each of those articles, is the main reason I read less and less there. I see how they’ve changed and its not a pretty sight (or site) anymore.

When did he ever have a “path to victory”…?

There was a time when I gladly paid money for a subscription there. I still visit regularly, but it’s really gone downhill since Joan Walsh left.
