Discussion: Cruz On Garland: We Must Choose Between Free Speech And Political Correctness

Discussion for article #236172

WeakTeaXians apparently don’t have very much faith in their 3-in-one doG.

The Right to Free Speech is also the Responsibility of Free Speech- that is, we have the right to say what we want- but we have the responsibility to make sure that what we say is not inciting, derogatory, or factually incorrect…

Actually your girl Pam needs to stop inciting violence by acting like a childish war mongering whore.

Canadian Cruz just doesn’t get it…As a foreigner I expect him to not really understand our American Constitution, along the lines of Free Speech…there is no such choice. the only choice is whether or not the Person who is exercising their Free Speech, Is Going To Accept Responsibility For That Speech…Simple, don’t have to be a Harvard Graduate to figure that one out…If Cruz were a real American, he would know that…

Ted Cruz would go into a crowded theater and yell FIRE! just to liven up a slow day and exercise his right of free speech.

ā€œBut when given the choice between free speech and the political correctness of refusing to acknowledge radical Islamic terrorism, it is a time for choosing where we stand,ā€

Apparently the Cruzster skipped the section covering ā€œFree Speechā€ on his citizenship test… if he even bothered to take one…

she has the right to be a terrible person and spew hate. are you actually saying that drawing a cartoon of mo mo is wrong?

No, he just wants the power and money that comes with having that much influence, he’s not actually interested in the responsibility of being President.

ā€œWe saw the ugly face of islamic terrorism in my home state of Texas — in Garland, where two jihadists came to commit murder. Thankfully one police officer helped them meet their virgins,ā€ Cruz said.

I love when Senator Cruz talks tough. I bet he’ll have no problem sending lots of innocent young American servicemen and women to their untimely deaths, and with no crisis of conscience whatsoever.

No such choice is being asked of you, Harvard graduate. Nor was this event about free speech.

Cruz: ā€œWe must choose between our true Republican political correctness and the far left’sā€

I’m saying that doing it specifically to incite violence and using that response to justify further discrimination against and killing of Muslims is wrong. This wasn’t about artists making a statement, this was about provoking a response. That’s a piss poor representation of the values we hold dear.

Raphael really must want ISSL to win the Cartoon contest. We can have Free Speech or Cartoons - this will be his plank for the upcoming RW Wannabee contests.

What the fuck is he talking about? That is not the choice. It’s about being responsible. We have the right of free speech, but we should also exercise our rights responsibly. Geller and her ilk choose to be irresponsible and inflammatory.

It’s sort of simple. Just don’t be an ass. At that, she (and Cruz) utterly fail.
