I was about to post something very similar. What emerged from this so-called scandal is the fact that political advocacy groups are allowed to be tax exempt, at a time when political spending is higher than itās ever been, at a time when ordinary citizens across the political spectrum think there is too much money in politics, and at a time when one political party is absolutely obsessed with the spending and deficits. Yet no one seems to care! Tax the nakedly political groups!
Why are there no politicians from any party standing up and demanding an end to this needless exemption?
(Just kidding. I know the answer. Itās because they are the direct beneficiaries of the exemption.)

Itās the shamelessness I canāt abide.
Anyone who is willing to listen can understand the nuance in the law which allows or disallows an exemption but they insist upon treating the American people as idiots presumably because that is what they have as a base.
We know that this law has been abused, and that needs to be rectified, but this is a blatant powerplay to preserve the status quo and intimidate the enforcers.
God, I hate ignorance nearly as much as I do those who would capitalize on it.

I agree with Cruz: Holder should investigate the IRS scandal - and then prosecute the people responsible for promoting it to raise campaign funds, like Cruz and Issa, for fraud.
