Discussion: Cruz Insists No Candidate Will Secure Nomination Before Convention

What’s going to be rich is when Trump has ON PAPER the 1237 needed before the convention. But then on the first ballot some delegates from states without rules requiring them to cast votes for their primary/caucus winner (Trump, for this example) defect to Cruz and Trump comes up short 1237.

Cruz, if you stamp you feet, it’s more convincing.

TPM:

Following a dismal third-place finish in the New York Republican primary on Tuesday, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said on Wednesday that none of the candidates will be able to lock up the 1,237 delegates needed to secure the presidential nomination ahead of the convention this summer.

“If I can’t win it, no one can!” Cruz said to reporters. “Muahahahaha! I’ll burn it all down! Look at me, Ma! Top of the world!”

And I thought Delusion was only a city in Minnesota. Oh, I’m sorry! I meant Duluth. I must have had a brain fart like Ted Cruz.

James Cagney, as well as a host of others from the Golden Age of Hollywood, have more acting ability in their little finger, the most modern so called stars have in their entire bodies.

I think Trump will very likely come up short but it will be under a 100 and then he will get some votes from unbound delegates including from places like PA who promised to vote for who will win the state (as of now, Trump is favored). This very well might push him over the top before formal convention voting takes place.

You know the convention in Cleveland will look like this:

geez, ted. the fact is: you just got your ass handed to you by a moronic, psychopathic, asshole.

You have to be a pretty special person to want to be named a Presidential candidate, despite receiving substantially fewer votes than the person who came in first place and never truly earning the honor. The narcissism of some of these folks is astounding to me.

I’m sure everybody agrees that Trump’s supporters need to be armed in order to protect themselves from the intended raids by the Cruz forces. After all, the Trump Tree of Liberty needs to be periodically watered with the blood of tyrants, amirite?

That’s Mr. Trump, Ted.

It would have been more honest to say " I’m going to have a ton of delegates but Donald’s going to have a ton more". Cruz is going to be in a distant 2nd place. I doubt he has a chance.

You may be right. But no matter what Trump’s going to be so close that any decision to give the nomination to someone else is going to cause pandempoium at that convention.

Somebody remind Lyin’ Ted that self-delusion is the worst form of Lyin’. Like Scott Walker, C-Section Born Cruz should step aside after he has reached his peak potential. Now would be a good time to get some R&R with his hookers.

My understanding is that the RNC rules would require them to vote for Trump on the first ballot.

Trump will win PA. I grew up in Pennsyltucky, and I can tell you from experience: In a contest between bigotry and the face of god, limited to Republican voters, bigotry will in Pennsylvania every time.

A different moronic psychopathic asshole, Ted, not the one you see in the mirror everyday. Someone who’s even more moronic and assholic than you, which must seem unimaginable, though not someone who’s more sociopathic.

Yes, Ted, no matter what happens, you’ll still be the biggest sociopath in the GOP.

ie: his twin brother by different mothers…
