A former (and now dead) Senator once said, âYou are entitled to your own opinion, but to your own facts.â
Mitt Romney spoke to the opinion of the GOP when he accused President Obama of neglecting to say âterrorismâ in the aftermath of the Benghazi tragedy.
But the the debate moderator reminded the American audience of the truth.
That may have made all the difference in an otherwise close presidential election - had Mitt Romney spoken the truth, instead of attempting to simply supply republican rhetoric as you suggest he should have done, people may have believed that the math of his economic plan added up.
In other words Senator Cruz, while the truth will set you free, lying is what loses election and keeps candidates like you at the bottom of the polls.

Ted Cruz is right about Mitt Romney having a problem with the truth. Mitt Romney had a range of other serious ethical problems.
For example. Mitt Romney was also palling around and financing Central American death squad leaders, making money from aborted fetuses at his company.
Mitt Romney whole heartedly embraced the racial hatred, bigotry and xenophobia of the modern American conservative movement. He and his wife Ann met with Donald Trump in his Las Vegas hotel to revive their flailing campaign. Mitt Romney sought endorsements from the infamously and racially bigoted California governor Pete Wilson and from Kris Kobach for his despicable self deportation policy for Hispanics.
Mitt Romney destroyed American jobs for his fortune, he was a tax cheat and a sleazy, amoral businessman.

Uh huh. This is the spectacle many of us have been waiting for: the public civil war in the GOP right before the 2016 elections. Thatâs right Carnival man, you go speak the truth to the electorate, loud and proud, and when the GOP loses the WH yet AGAIN, go find something else to blame it on.

I figured it was because when he spoke the âtruthâ it scared people. The sad thing is that facts are not often that useful in the hands of conservatives. That often conflate correlation with causation or any number of things when it suits them to fight them evil liberals.
