Here’s an idea for you Ted. How about you stand up against those states with laws that encourage persecution of the LGBT community in the name of “religious freedom”. After all, this guy was just expressing his “deeply held religious convictions”. So we’ll be waiting for you to condemn these laws. And waiting … and waiting …
The 2A wasn’t added. It was locked in there in Holy Fire by Jeebus when he gave The Constitution to TheFoundersHallowedBeTheirNamesByTheGraceOfGawd, as pointed out by this cherubic little tyke in the following picture:

You can almost see the words “Shall Not Be Infringed” at the tip of his finger, engraved in milk and honey.
Thank you my friend. I can’t Eustace every day but when I do, I go for broke.
Cruz = a real republican Chicken-Hawk!
Cruz was born in 1970!
He was 20 years old at the start of the First Gulf War and only 31 on 9-11! Cruz has no military service, anyone wonder why?
Plus, Cruz didn’t even register for the Selective Service when he turned 18, as he was required to do by federal law!
Dear lord, it doesn’t matter what the problem or crisis is, they have the same answer for everything.
- Lower taxes
- Kill Brown people, preferably muslims
- Having 20 times the number of guns has nothing to do with having 20 times the number of gun deaths
Flipping crazy.
The worst part is, Cruz is only a couple of years older than I am, and he’s one of the top 5 finalists for possession of the power to destroy all life on this planet.
Apparently I haven’t worked hard enough at being a monumental piece of shit, because I’m nowhere near his level of achievement.
Both amusing AND depressing at the same time, in equal measure.
Silly you – Canadian citizens don’t have to register for the Selective Service of the United States. That’s why he didn’t do so.
Edited for Correction: As it turns out, some resident males in the U.S. must, by law, register with the Selective Service. Thanks to @boscobrown and @chuckonpiggott. ![]()
Since when does this moron Cruz need an excuse to abandon political correctness?
Carnical Cruz has earned plenty of mockery for his designer “hunting” outfits and his custom engraved, over-under shotgun which looks like it’s never been fired and belongs under glass in a museum.
Carnival can’t seem to make the connection, but his photo prop should really be all the gun a legitimate hunter or target shooter needs. So if we’re abandoning political correctness, it’s well past time to quit indulging the gun nuts’ appetite for soldiers’ weapons.
For a minute I thought he meant to stop farting about and do something about the gun epidemic. Silly me!
“We need a president who is serious - who will identify the enemy by name and do everything necessary to defeat it.”
Everything necessary to defeat it except barring suspect terrorists from buying guns.
The GOP Congress has been fundamentally unserious about making life more difficult for would be terrorists.
Yo, Raphael Eduardo, we’ve already abandoned political correctness. We’ve been calling you a contemptible prick since we’ve known you.
How about abandoning the right of citizens to have assault weapons? Of course Cruz wouldn’t mention such a thing, he’s a “constitutionalist.” In the meantime he is content with massacres in the name of the misinterpretation of the second amendment.
Carnival Cruz is back and as usual, is completely off-base looking to blame anyone except himself and his own party. Had the Senate focused its attention last December following San Bernardino attack, passing a bill to help the FBI and other law enforcement from allowing anyone on a terrorist watchlist from buying a gun, this particular situation might not have happened. But they are thoroughly bought and owned by the NRA, and everyone knows it. FFS, we need an assault weapons ban. Period.
Absolutely correct, Cruz, my boy. We have to stop calling these people gun nuts and start calling them heinous killers. We have to stop calling them homophobes and call them what they are, vicious thugs. We have to stop calling them fundamental Christians and call them what they are, execrable sociopaths. We have to realize that these groups (which have a lot of overlap) are a direct threat to our society and get rid of them however we can.
So it’s ok to hammer non-christian religious people for their bias toward sexuality, but not Christian peoples’ bias toward sexuality.
OK got it, thanks Ted.
It’s gratifying to know that if the Trump candidacy truly crashes and burns sometime before the election, the Republicans have a candidate waiting in the wings who can appeal to the broader electorate. Yeah, that’s the ticket…
I am reminded every once in a while that Donald Trump has one redeeming quality - he isn’t Ted Cruz.
My morning coffee suggestions for Ted Cruz
-
“Enough is Enough” -You and your Segregationist Political Party should finally abandon your religious like faith in and attempts to continue to impose Reaganomics and constant tax cuts for the rich on the rest of us, since they have resulted in the Reagan Recession, the Post-Reagan (GHWB) Recession and the GWB Depression.
-
You should abandon the NRA’s version of political correctness and Congress’ censorship of scientific research on firearm violence…
-
The victims of the massacre in Orlando probably despise you and probably do not want your solidarity (Lefty term there) or hypocrite prayers.
This act wasn’t randomly targeted. The LGBT community was the specific target. So Cruz is right about abandoning political correctness. We should call out demagogues like Cruz and Trump for their hateful rhetoric and policies aimed at minorities, and the word “bigotry” needs to be used at every opportunity. These people are bigots, and their actions have consequences.
