Discussion: Cruz Calls For Abandoning ‘Political Correctness’ In Wake Of Orlando

Abandon political correctness?
Oh, Teddy, that Cruz ship has long since left the harbor.

But you’re abandoning simple “correctness”. Bombing ISIS into the ground would stop, perhaps, 1% of mass shootings in the US. And zero percent of mass shooting by Syrian refugees since they’ve never committed any.

How about abandoning persecution of LGBTQ Americans with pointless legislation of where they can pee?

How about ignoring your NRA masters for just long enough to prevent people on the FBI watchlist from buying automatic weapons?

How about banning those weapons of choice of mass killers in the first place?

Or is that too politically correct?

“The next few days will be sadly predictable. Democrats will try to use this attack to change the subject." (TX Sen. Ted Cruz)

Now that’s projection, if I’ve ever heard it.

ISIS and the theocracy in Iran (supported with American taxpayer dollars) regularly murder homosexuals, throwing them from buildings and burying them under rocks. This is wrong, it is evil, and we must all stand against it. Every human being has a right to live according to his or her faith and conscience, and nobody has a right to murder someone who doesn’t share their faith or sexual orientation. (Same dude)

  1. Iran is not supported by the American taxpayer. Nor is ISIS.

  2. Yeah, like you give a flying fuck about us in the LGBT community, Ted. I’m totally with you at calling out radical Islamists when they murder anyone for not being part of their cult – but you stop there, you won’t (and never have) called out your own cult members. You hypocrite.

Taking cues from a morally corrupt, hateful senator is not the way to deal with a mass shooting. Go home Ted.

Yes, we do. Cruz is right. We have to stop following the NRA’s dictates on what we can say and when we can say it about gun rights.

spot on. Thanks

Opportunist. Sickening. He can’t see the forest for the trees- the details in this case and as usual with Cruz and his ilk, are the dog whistles that his rabid base laps up time after time or the problems they have caused.

The Republican War on Political Correctness is often targeted at the very victims of the massacre. .

" He also predicted that Democrats would “exploit” the attack, which left 53 dead and 50 wounded"

Seems like your candidate is the one doing that .

In some ways, this creature is different from Trump. Like most humans who’ve ever lived, he’s smarter and more disciplined. But morally there’s not an ounce of difference, and in some ways he’s worse. He has not once that I can think of wavered in his program of seeking the Presidency by manipulating ignorant bigots, not once made a sacrifice to do the right thing for his constituents or country. I doubt, at this late date, he ever will.

Fuck off you Fascist Pig.

Sorta OT, but the article states that 53 died and 50 were wounded. Isn’t that backward? Wasn’t the death toll 50 and 53 others wounded?

Sounds like a campaign speech for VP.

“…now is the opportunity to speak out against an ideology that calls for the murder of gays and lesbians.”

You know when would have been a good time to do this? During the primary campaign, when a number of fringe-right Christian leaders endorsed both you and death for LGBTQ people. Hell, Kevin Swanson called for death for gay people and abortion doctors on the stage you appeared upon shortly afterwards, and you said nothing!

“If you’re a Democratic politician and you really want to stand for LGBT, show real courage and stand up against the vicious ideology that has targeted our fellow Americans for murder.”

I would ask Cruz if he will please "show real courage and stand up against the vicious ideology that has targeted our fellow LGBT Americans for murder."by denouncing those evangelicals (ala Kevin Swanson, Bradley Dean etc) who want to kill gays. Are you brave enough to do that, Ted? Huh…are you? Of course not.

MAGIC WORDS!!

If you don’t say the right MAGIC WORDS, you can’t KILL THE BEAST!

ACT OF TERROR is just a dodge by this PORK MOOZLUM BEER PRESIDENT MOMJEANS who WINKS AND NODS at his MOOSLIM BRUTHAHOOD while HIGH-FIVING the MUZLUM LEEDER, Al Kye E-Duh.

Why won’t OSLAMMABAMA say the MAGIC WORDS and PROVE he is ALL MURKAN REEL MURICAN PATRIOT instead of CONTINUING TO STAND WITH ISLAMOFASCISTTERRORNAZIHITLERS?

SHERIFF JOE, SAVE US!!

“Abandon political correctness” is code for “throw out the Bill of Rights.”

But, surely, Ted couldn’t be proposing that! He’s a “Constitutionalist” of the first order!

I don’t see any Bill of Rights in the Constitution. Liberals added those later.
