Bad weather on the open ocean, you say? How dare the cruise line not prevent that!

How many people do they lose on a normal cruise? 30? 40?

I survived the sinking of the Andrea Doria. Luckily, I wasn’t on the ship.

White people in mortal peril! Oh the humanity!! The world needs to hear about this!

“I was shaking all over,” Shara Strand of New York City wrote to The Associated Press via Facebook on Monday. “Panic attack, things like that … I’ve been on over 20 cruises, I’ve been through a hurricane, it was never like this. Never.”

Vomiting up Lobster Bisque and Eclairs with Truffle Shavings is hell, I tellya!!

I sailed for decades. In all kinds of weather. The ocean is a magnificent and sometimes violent place. If you don’t like waves, or rough weather, stay away from the seas. Problem solved.

Which Cruise makes you vomit first?

  1. Anthem of the Seas

This is what the infliction of wedgies will do to a person’s appearance if suffered from ages 5 through 14.

I swear when I first read this I saw “cruise” but thought “Cruz”.

Wonder when the Cruz ship will be headed home…

I bet they all know about a whole new level of sea sickness…been there, done that…thats why I dont go on cruises.

You could not pay me to ever again step foot on one of these cruises. The odor alone – that of disinfectant, mildew and decrepitude is something that induces nausea – and that is even before setting out to sea and the smell of puke is wafting.

It’s Obama’s fault!!!

I agree wholeheartedly but I do believe that "wafting"is too poetic a word to use with puke.

How about:
The smell of puke permeates every compartment of the ship.

I’d love to see Antarctica. I just need to find someone else to endure the Drake Passage in my place.

Who’d expect storms in the Atlantic in the winter?

How can someone who has an eight-month-old have been on twenty cruises? Boring.

Yeah, I don’t quite get cruising. I’ve traveled all over the world, but never on a cruise (well, 25 people on a river boat on the upper Amazon isn’t quite the same thing). It’s just a floating hotel, with multiple shopping stops. It is a cheap getaway, however.

I figured the claustrophobia was the big turnoff, but this pretty much clinches it for me.

I agree. I went on a cruise once and it was a very nice ship but all that food and wasting of food was sickening to me. I prefer to be on terra firma

I would consider one of those Viking River cruises through France.
