These Republicans who think they have safe seats forget that in this country, sadly, only about 6 in 10 voters go to the polls, even when the turnout is heavy. So it doesn’t take a lot of the people who haven’t voted in earlier elections to change the result when they decide to get off their duffs. And they decide to vote when they don’t like the person that’s in office.
The Oversight Committee overlooks when Republicans are committing real conflicts of interest and crimes. Trump’s family is ringing up money 24/7 all over the globe, cashing in on access, collecting money from Russia and squirreling it away offshore. But Government Oversight is exercised when there is a Democratic President. Get with the program. Rand Paul said, it was a waste of time and effort for Republican on Republican investigation to occur.
“You guys just want to investigate everybody…” is the response of someone on the defensive.
