Discussion: Court-Appointed Special Master Gives Data On Cohen's 'Privilege' Claims

Let the fun begin!

Does anyone know the timetable for Jones to decide the validity of Cohen’s claims on these 252 items? Because they without a doubt are likely to contain the real smoking guns.

Ok, I read the document. June 4, the special master will present her report to Judge Wood.

“…Cohen, President Donald Trump and the Trump Organization had made 252 claims of privileged or “highly personal” material out of the initial [292,006] items…”

Lots of noise over nothin’ Donny. Sad.

Where do I sign up for Constitution Prime so stuff I declare “highly personal” can’t be used against me in court?

“Those are my highly personal drugs!”
“I definitely consider this prostitute highly personal.”

I’m betting that the judge will cost the taxpayer less than the taint team.

The special master assigned in the criminal case against Michael Cohen announced Tuesday that Cohen, President Donald Trump and the Trump Organization had made 252 claims of privileged or “highly personal” material out of the initial items reviewed.

But her 33,000 emails.

My effing god.

So, realistically, Jones will only collect about half of her billings - after Cohen, Trump, and the Trump Organization stiff her.

If Cohen was indeed Trump’s personal lawyer then the percentage of items as to which the privilege is claimed is remarkably small. I guess the rest of the time was spent on scheming, colluding, shmoozing, deal-making and deal-breaking,and talking to Russian oligarchs. Any ‘lawyering’ probably was incidental to the major focus of his work.

Cohen, Trump and the Trump Organization are covering the rest.

I wouldn’t hold my breath for that check.

The article falls short of saying when Judge Jones will rule on those claims. Which perhaps has not yet been made clear. It’s frustrating however when even a site as good as TPM seems to report before they understand what they are reporting. Or explain what this means precisely. Lazy or hasty reporting allows outlets like Fox News to report unchallenged that Trump is vindicated because there were many privileged docs…

“[A]pproximately 1,025,363 items from these phones have not been designated privileged or highly personal by the parties,” Jones noted of the May 11 production.

Didn’t Cohen have 16 phones? This is 64,085 items per phone on average. What the fuck was this mofo doing?

Therewill be many fine sessions with Sessions. Oh, Trump’s as guilty as sin. And if sin didn’t exist, Trump would’ve invented it.

Interesting timing of this NYT piece considering earlier today we learned how close Sessions and Rosenstein have become. Sure does sound like that proverbial bell is tolling…tolling for Trump.
