Donald Trump lacks any moral core.
Almost every thing Donald Trump does is inappropriate!
In re-reading my post I do not know why I said almost everything… I’m trying to think of anything that was totally appropriate.
Well, it’s possible he never fucked Ivanka.
How’s that?
One thing Corker can do is propose legislation to protect Mueller…
Less words, more deeds please…
“Like me, most Americans hope that our justice system is independent and free of political interference,” Corker said in a statement
But that’s just it. Most Republicans want a justice system tilted heavily towards the right. Where were you when McConnell was stonewalling Merrick Garland? Or when the Republican Senate was holding up Obama’s picks for appellate courts?
What are your thoughts on voting rights being stripped from Americans of color? Or on gerrymandering? Or on BLM?
No doubt Trump is a jackass in a league of his own. But the entire Republican Party is complicit. Now about that perjuring AG…when will you call for his resignation?
Yeah, every time one of these pukes finds their testicles for a brief moment I’d like them to point to a Trump Timeline and tell us at what point it was too much. Then remind them all the stuff that led up to that moment.
Gee, Bob, who could have known he was like this back when you were supporting his presidential candidacy?
Trump is not only “totally Inappropriate” he is UnAmerican as is every politician who backs him.
Sigh. Once again, it seems worthwhile to say Corker deserves less growling than such statements typically inspire. He’s absolutely right. This is a good thing to say. It’s a support for a key aspect of the rule of law in our system. I know he’s said and done bad things and failed to do other things he should have done. He helped legitimize Trump among USG folks early on. I know that. But this is a good thing.
Then do something or shut up.
Can we please not even call these “so-called scandals”? They are bogus snipe hunts churned up to distract people from the Republican agenda.
Whiny is white-hot with rage that the Russia story keeps coming up but nobody gives a rat’s ass about Hillary Clinton’s e-mails.
Next up Trump pulls the “I think I had a call, I need to take this, it might be my wife” [Exit Stage Left] with a little traveling music trick.
I’ll add one: Where was Corker when Republicans in his neighboring state of North Carolina were basically making it impossible for anyone but a Republican to become a state- or district-level judge?
Seems like the TPM commentariat got into the juice on Monday and Tuesday when everything was burning down a little bit harder than usual.
We’re not going to get Trump advisor confessions coming public every day.
If only Corker were in a position with political power where he could do something about it. It’s not like Corker, Flake, Collins, and McCain could join together with Democrats to pass, for instance, a bill censuring Trump for his comments - I mean, sure, they’d have a majority in the Senate, but … um … hmmm.
Off-topic, but the LV terrorist was a Trump fan…
Or any core at all, like the onion from Ibsen’s Peer Gynt:
I'm going to peel you now, my good Peer! You won't escape either by begging or howling.[Takes an onion and pulls off layer after layer.]
There lies the outermost layer, all torn;
that’s the shipwrecked man on the jolly-boat’s keel.
Here’s the passenger layer, scanty and thin; —
and yet in its taste there’s a tang of Peer Gynt.
Next underneath is the gold-digger ego;
the juice is all gone — if it ever had any …… He stinks, as the Scripture has it, of lies,
enough to bring the water to an honest man’s eyes.
This layer that rolls itself softly together
is the gentleman, living in ease and good cheer.
The next one seems sick. …[Pulls off several layers at once.]
[Throws the fragments away.]
