Joe said they could devote all 3 hours, five days a week, just to covering Trumpās lies.

I doubt that they saw it as a boostāthey thought of him as a mildly entertaining carnival barker with no chance of winning, just like the rest of us did.

For what itās worth, this is moving a step beyond concerns. This is a prominent Senator saying not only that he has concerns and is troubled and doesnāt like stuff the President does and so forth, heās now contemptously saying thereās no point in even talking to him. The implication is itās hopeless, there will be endless turmoil because of the huge pathologies baked into Trumpās mind and character. I donāt think thatās too good for Trumpās future.
I was going to say the same thing. Corker is really angry. There was no pressing need to say what he did, but as you say, heās like a poster on TPM - completely contemptuous of Trump.
