Discussion: Corker Dismisses GOP Lunch With Trump As 'Nothing More' Than A 'Photo Op'

My answer to that question is: Watch Pence. Closely.

Is there a row of lockers in the Senate Office Building where the GOP checks their spines in until they retire? Or do they have to go to the bus station?

Yeah, but if they’d started after the convention it would’ve had more effect on the election. December was too late.

Corker is right re: Trounce but way off the mark on the ‘Tax agenda’. Don’t let him slide that one by.
The GOPers aren’t made to look good in comparison to the hopeless/hapless/heartless Preznident, they are just awful in slightly less disgusting ways.

The entire GOP’s future are pinned to this last vestige of hope to transfer the nations wealth even further upward under the guise of tax reform.

They are caught in the conundrum of aiding the idiot they despise or not advancing their despised agenda by thwarting him.
Nice corner they’ve painted themselves into eh.

IMO; PENCE is FRANK UNDERWOOD…

He also knows how to say “Thank you” and shut down the conversation when a reporter asks a touchy question followed by walking away. This from the candidate who told the rubes “I will be your voice.”

Oooh! That’s damn good.

Frank Underwood is clever by two. Pence, not so much. That said, I don’t doubt for a second that Pence is working on this – if not leading the effort (which I doubt he is) then following orders from someone such as McConnell or Putin.

Corker just said—live on national TV—that Trump debases the nation and that his governing style is “division and Bullying, using untruths.”

The gloves are off, and I can only hope that this is one of those inflection points that tip the balance, so that other GOP Senators can feel free to say publicly what they’ve been saying privately about Trump.

Corker and McCain are trying to push Tramp over the edge

I’d say yes.

“One aspect of the conflict, by the way, that I will never, ever countenance is that we drafted the lowest-income level of America and the highest-income level found a doctor that would say that they had a bone spur,” Mr. McCain said. “That is wrong.”

It’s also a damn shame that Corker, McCain and Graham spent the entire Obama Administration engaging in the same kind of rhetoric they now wring their hands over in Trump. And participated in the theft of a Supreme Court seat.

By that he meant "I will be MY voice and pretend that I am speaking for you who I have never met or understood in my entire life!’…

As with most here, I have deep differences with both Corker and McCain but this all feels carefully choreographed to elicit what is now a completely expected response from the Fucking Moron.

I’m surprised he hasn’t already tweeted an attack on McCain’s mention of the bone spur excuse. Everyone who heard McCain’s words could put together “Hey, McCain just called Tramp a draft dodger!”

Me too re: McCain vs. TFM. Wasn’t the comment on TV? How could he have missed it?

Well, McCain was on The View so I doubt Tramp watches anything woman-centric that isn’t a pageant he can make money off of (or can launder money through)

“You have a big [opiod] problem in West Virginia, and we are going to solve that problem.”

@spencersmom All that has to happen to sink the proposed abomination of a tax bill is to lose a few senators. There are two right here who could be those “NO” votes.

Bob Corker, who helped President O give us the bad Iran Deal & couldn’t get elected dog catcher in Tennessee

Says the fucking moron who, with an entire cabinet and a federal government at his command, could not perform the job of a competent dog catcher. In Tennessee or anywhere else.
