What a bunch of cynical assholes. The ATF made a legal determination based on the laws passed (or in this case not passed) by Congress. Had the ATF ruled that it could bar bump stocks, the Obama administration’s “theft of freedom” would have become cause celebre among these very same people.

And does anyone ever hit back at these idiots with “so then I guess we are all in agreement they should be banned”.

If they had, it’d be too soon to talk about it I’m sure.

I have mixed feelings about this.

Of course it’s bullshit spin to blame any of this on Obama.

But hey, maybe if we call them “ObamaStocks” the GOP will agree to ban them!

Next up, let’s blame Obama for assault weapons (“Obamaguns”) and high capacity magazines (“Obamamags”), and then maybe we can ban those too!

Yeah…I’m missing the point of this. The wingnuts are all about rescinding anything and everything Obama…

Was thinking the same thing. In the interest of undoing everything Obama did, trump should… blah, blah, blah.

Oh yes…and who VOTED FOR THEM you nasty lying twerps?

Well, since they were approved under the Obama Administration, then there shouldn’t be any problem outlawing them? Right?

So these lying gun fucks wanted the ATF to control 100% legal devices?

The ATF has been hollowed out since the Reagan era 1986 gun owners protection act. They’ve been hampered when it comes to prosecutions of corrupt gun dealers and straw purchasers.
There have been recent pieces how the ATF still relies on old file card systems because if the were computerized it would somehow be interpreted as a infringement on the 2nd amendment.

Who cares who approved them. They should not be available to anyone. And outlawing bump stocks does not undermine the 2nd amendment.

And to back up the finger-pointing, they cited the numerous conservative pundits, reporters and legislators warning that the use of bump stocks would make semi-automatic weapons significantly more like to be used in mass murders.

If by “numerous” you mean zero.

That Conway continues to be placed on the air on media outlets that are not Fox News is proof that our national media is a willing participant in the evil that has consumed us and that our situation is really hopeless.

Even 20 years ago, she would have been a pariah.
