Discussion: Conservative Writer Doesn't Buy Ayers Reason For Turning Down Trump: 'That's A Lot Of Crap'

Podhoretz suggested he thinks Ayers wants to get out of the administration before the results of the Russia probe damage his political career.

I’m impressed. John is almost as insightful as his father.

Yep, this job is the red hot center alright of adding to the pile of corruption. And, who cares if you don’t buy his excuse for not taking the job, it’s not really any of your business. Maybe tRump will offer you this red hot job.

Anyone with more than three brain cells knows the Chief of Staff position is a level of hell, not to mention a financial disaster paying the attorneys.

God help me, I agree with John F’n Pudhertz on something…

But he’s right, this isn’t even ratlines… this is the Trump Administration’s Operation Werewolf. They see it is all coming apart around them and they are seeding their stay-behind troops.

Both Trump and Pence are trading up to Wartime Consiglieres, but don’t feel bad for Nick. He’s being rewarded with a crew of his own to run for the Outfit down in Atlanta…

No one wants to destroy their rep working with or for dotard bonespurs and his gaggle of know nothings and unqualified has beens or want to be’s…A dead end street…
Ayers is a smart, well connected young man…not an old stupid panderer.

Working as Pence’s COS, Ayers probably knows more than most people how much legal jeopardy Individual-1 is in, along with other members of the administration. Getting out of Dodge at this juncture had to have been a no-brainer.

He may also know that Pence’s time in the barrel is coming.

Trumps administration is a lava flow. Mr. Ayers is wise to move out of its path.

Talk-show booker fail. Bring a guy on to say the completely transparent reason given is NOT THE REAL REASON because the REAL REASON is the one that’s BLEEDIN’ OBVIOUS. Surely, surely this is not the most interesting person they could have brought on for the precious precious air time. She’s probably a nice person and all but Kasie Hunt never seems to drill down to the good stuff and is just like the conventional-wisdom-mongers on lesser networks; she’s among the worst of a good lot, I guess you could say.

Why anyone would take a job with this Maladministration is a mystery. The Idiot in Chief won’t read your memos nor listen to what you say, then he will trash you on the way out.

Even odds Ayers doesn’t go back to Georgia and ends up as COS to President Pence in 2019.

My top three picks

Michelle Bachmann
Sarah Palin
Anne Coulter.

Any one of them would bring the WH into order and instill discipline like we’ve never seen before. Just don’t ever ask them about Belgium.

Well John, maybe some guys value their families over taking a job that will ruin their future employment possibilities. Maybe Ayres didn’t want to get mixed up in crime. Did’ja even consider that? Why join a seriously corrupt administration and get shit all over yourself in he process? Why work for someone who isn’t gonna listen to you and who will chuck you under the nearest bus in a heartbeat? No pay check is worth that.
