It’s not just ‘weird’ that they had notes and what not when they gave their interview last week. We know they flat-out lied about multiple things in that interview. From falsely claiming they went to the police when in fact the 2006 investigation was promoted by an anonymous tip given to the production staff of the Oprah Winfrey show (and the Duggar’s appearance was promptly canceled) to claiming that none of the victims were awake.
They are lying religious freaks who have enabled and covered up child molestation and Huckabeee defended them (and still does).

The Huckster already paroled a convicted rapist who went on to rape again and then murder. Defending an incestuous kiddy diddler is nothing.

Not that I ever thought Huckabee had any real chance for the nomination in 2016, but I think this indicates there are deeper cracks in the Kristianist Konservative Koalition than might be apparent at first glance.

Just ask him one thing…how could America’s “most perfect family” have lived themselves knowing they were being promoted, and making tons of cash in doing so, as perfect…just so damn perfect…yet had this ugly shit in their closet. This family had some of the rankest disgusting and criminal shit in its history…knew about it and expected it to be hidden…while serving as moral paragons on a fucking TV program. Ask the Huckster how he can support this family. The sex stuff was bad enough but their willingness to pose as goody two shoes holier than thous while concealing this filth…

All the other GOP presidential candidates (like 20 of them) plan to make Huckabee answer questions about the Duggars at their debates.in an attempt to climb above the others and get an edge. The Huck will become their human punching bag…just like most conservatives treat women.
Wow…even the conservatives are wising up to the Huckster folly/disaster…remember Simon, “no comment” is not a suitable answer…
They are unfit parents. Not failures. And it wasn’t “not so bad.” If the Duggars were people of color, a cop would have thrown Ma Kettle to the ground and sat on her after pulling a gun on the entire neighborhood. Why aren’t these people in jail awaiting a Family Services hearing and their kids in protective custody?

The two kids who molested by their brother said something like “He didn’t rape us so it wasn’t that bad”.
As a father and grandfather myself the denial and the reworking of what Josh did. to. his. own. sisters. makes me real queasy.
And then we have Huckabee supporting him…and them. Did the parents do anything? Well, they sent Josh to some sort of Christian camp where Jesus fixed everything. And so it’s all OK, move along.
The entire family denies reality yet has a reality show. And rightist candidate supports them.
This is republican family values?

That all has to do with that religious sex-ed course the Duggars use. If a molestation or rape causes a person to get closer to God, then that molestation or rape wasn’t harmful. And, the big question a girl is supposed to ask herself, “Was I disrespectful? Is that what caused this?”
