Discussion: Comey: Probe Started With 'Four Americans Who Had Some Connection' To Trump

There were a few instances during his testimony where Comey finessed his way around (legitimate) questions he was asked. Had the Republicans been more aware, or quicker on their feet, they might have caught him out.

We’ll see next time if they return to those answers of his.

So this is basically a Russian Mob investigation. Nobody enforces laws against organized crime like the FBI. I don’t know why the Trump Organization thought they were immune to prosecution. Just because a bunch of racists voted for Donald doesn’t absolve him of his sins against our Republic.

“It’s a shocking suggestion coming from any senior official, no less the president. It’s a critical and legitimate part of the entire justice system in the United States,” Comey said."

Four Americans with ties to the Russian Mob and Trump? That would be his three wives and at least one of the daughters.

I believe Don Jr.'s emails prove the males in this crime family are much too stupid to pull off the bigger scams. Ivanka is reportedly the brains of the Trump Organization and learned everything from her Eastern European mother. It’s the same thing with Melania who was tutored by her communist party father.

The Russian Mafia owns these people and they report into their masters regularly for orders.

Who will be tossed out of the red sled to keep the wolves away? Pence, Jr. and Erick for sure. Some are saying Lust Object will never be given up, but I wouldn’t bet my silicone ass on it.

Well, just as a parlor game we have Papadopoulos drunksplaining his terrific international connections to the Aussies, Carter Page the attention-crazed squirrelly loon, Cohen and Sater, that’s four for my fantasy collusionball team. Hell, Sater was an FBI informant for years; they’d certainly keep an eye on him.

An artful flip, just like in Olympic gymnastics, can land you a ten. Except from the Russian Judge…he’s not a fan.

So here is my crazy idea about Jared and his “back channel” scheme. What if it wasn’t for intel from Russia but to be used to pay Trump or Trump Organization for the Trump Tower Moscow? And yes I know there are ways to channel money to offshore account but how easy is it bring it onshore when you need it? I keep thinking about that company that Fred set up for his kids, the one the supplied all the maintenance needs for his building, while all the while making non taxable gifts to his kids? If the financing was coming from a sanctioned Russian bank Trump would have to launder it somehow. And I think Trump is like Scrooge McDuck, he wants his money close to him.

I think their original plan was to lose the election, slink back into the bushes, and reap hundred of millions of dollars. I think they thought, incorrectly, that the FBI, law enforcement, and other branches of the IC would forget about them at that point -based on their previous experiences with the courts. In an alternate universe, it would have been interesting to see how that played out.

For all the frothing at the mouth from the “lock her up” crowd, one of the ironies here is that if Trump walks on the campaign finance felony, its because the prosecutors may find it difficult to prove intent.

I think we’d all take that in a heartbeat.

Now see here—the term “squirrelly” might have been coined for Carter Page. As a metaphor it’s not meant to say anything about actual squirrels, actual loons, pun-besotted posters on TPM (“hard to swallow,” I ask you) or anyone else but Page himself. Where’s he been lately anyway? Wised up finally?
