Sure - and recall that McConnell effectively threatened Obama that such a move would result in a huge political backlash. Obama’s call was correct, as much as I hate the results. Someone acted on principles and the dignity of the office – and it surely wasn’t McConnell or Comey.

Had Obama done that, the right-wing media machine would have kicked into high gear and the usual willing accomplices to support the right-wing noise such as the NY Times, would have very loudly supported McConnel and Ryan. The political press is still a huge problem in this country in that they love to tear down political leaders as long as they’re Democrats. The fact that Trump made it as far as he did during the primary, during the election and still hasn’t been brought to justice through public outcry alone is a failure of the media to properly inform the public.
Please tell me the Dems are kicking him for saying this.
