It was the FBIs investigation on the Russia/Trump ties, and they should have brought it up. President Obama was in the right of not going over the head of the FBI looking political. Comey failed the country 100 percent on not letting voters know about the Russia/Trump inevestigation.
Why do these great brains seem, still, unaware of file migration between devices with regard to HRC emails on the Weiner PC, even with Comey’s stated description of wife to husband emailing for printer access?
Equally, regarding Senator Franken’s always provocative questioning, how could the FBI Director be unaware of a relavant study conducted by an American think tank like the CSIS Kremlin Playbook? Seems strange to me and I’m glad Franken mentioned it.
The Obama administration reportedly was reluctant to respond to Russian hacking ahead of Election Day because officials feared being accused of tipping the scales for Clinton and because they believed that she would win.
The Comey feared if he didn’t tell everyone he was reopening Hillary’s investigation…yadee, yadee, yadee.
It was a perfect storm.
Oh yeah, THAT would have really carried weight with the people who think President Obama was a secret muslim and possibly a vampire.

Now reading comments, and I agree with you completely. I was holding out hope that he really was trying to do the right thing in spite of what I was reading, but this really does smash those hopes to smitherreens.

But blaming this on Obama is breathtakingly partisan.
Look on the bright side. With all the leaks Comey may use his massive deliberative skills to deduce he can’t whitewash it.
Comey’s laughable shoulder shrug regarding the Deputy AG’s political antecedents and his personal trust in the person occupying the role as opposed to a non political Special Prosecutor is almost a guarantee Rosenstein will shut everything down, in my mind.

Sure, Obama could have publicized the Trump-Russia probe and would have been pilloried by the Director of the FBI, The Senate Intelligence Committee, the House Intelligence Committee, etc.etc. for it, thus accomplishing the same outcome.
