I still remember Gardner’s remark at a Town Hall in which he claimed that the government did not create jobs. The people on folding chairs looked at each other and then at Gardner before saying “Yes it does.”

His spinmeisters nearly got hernias strenuously pretending that never happened.

Look the fact of the matter is that the GOP hates abortion and will do almost anything it can to ban it.

See, they want it around just in case their daughters or their mistresses need it. I’m not being snarky. A couple of years ago in anti-abortion South Dakota they tried to pass an extremely restrictive abortion law and the voters attitude was…hey I don’t like abortion but whoa.

Then there was Scott DesJarlais in the Tennessee.4th. DesJarlais made a big deal out of talking about how human life is sacred. Then the news came out that he pressured his mistress to get an abortion after he knocked her up.

The article doesn’t mention that Gardner, to this day, remains a co-sponsor of the Federal personhood bill. When asked about that inconsistency, Gardner said it’s different, but wouldn’t say how. Fortunately, another personhood proposal is on the ballot in Colorado this fall, so that should help pro-Udall/anti-Gardner turn-out.

Small problem for the ‘personhood” supporters… their refusal to grasp that “personhood” in their definition of it, is effectively countered by the Constitution.

The FIRST THREE WORDS of the Fourteenth Amendment should effectively end all of the nonsense about a ‘person’ or ‘personhood’ in the womb. It very clearly states:

ALL PERSONS BORN” or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside…

All “persons BORN”… not sperm… not zygotes, not haploids… NOT all “embryos conceived”

A fetus, or infant, until out of the womb, has not been born.
Only after being born can it be considered a person, or citizen. Even DICTIONARIES DEFINE “PERSONHOOD” as ‘the quality or condition of being an individual person.

Inside the womb it is not and should not be subject to any laws pertaining to a “person, or personhood” made by any legislature, including laws that are as intrusive as the ones conservatives propose.

“All Persons Born…”
BEING BORN BEGINS WHE­N BEING BO­RNE ENDS.

Better be careful how they define personhood…for most of these puppet assholes, the usual definitions wouldn’t even apply.
