Trump: Muslim ban is needed for many reasons including the possible impregnation of Bristol Palin by a fundamental Islamist. We dont want Palin brand tarnished in any way.

Only Trump supporters are dumb enough to think that an answer like that is a valid and rational answer. Unfortunately, ALL of Trump supporters equate "Muslim"with āterroristā or āIslamā with āterrorismā and fear more than anything that someday they will not be alive.
I also wonder how many of the Trump-supporting lame brains have ever served in the military, have ever been out of their own home state, (except to Disneyland), or have ever thought about a single national issue for more than five minutes. Looking at them last night and today on the TV machine, Iād say maybe 2% meet those qualifications and most of them are scared shitless that some radical jihaadist with a gun will beat them in a gunfight at Starbucks, Walmart, a movie theater or at the OK Corale.

Not making a mockery, just that Trump is bringing the very fearful, very simple-minded very bigoted people out of the woodwork, like Wallace did in 1970ās and McCarthy did in the 1950ās. They have always been part of our population. Sadly, sometimes, we canāt fix stupid.

That has long been my position on Trump, too. But after this Muslim ban insanity, Iāve changed my mind. He has heightened our immediate danger with this rhetoric, not only by making us even more hated by extremists and others in the Middle East, but also by giving license to the unhinged here at home who are now more motivated to carry out acts of violence against American Muslims, or, hell, anybody who just looks Middle Eastern. Trump is a danger to the republic right now, and I think the best hope we have for offsetting his damage would be the Republican Party repudiating him before he ever gets to a general election.
